Dr. Sam Beckett, driven by the theory that one can time travel within their own lifetime, ventures into the Quantum Leap accelerator, only to find himself lost in time. He inhabits the bodies of different people, confronting distorted reflections of his own identity and compelled by an unseen force to rectify historical errors. His only companion on this odyssey is Al Calavicci, a holographic observer from his present, visible and audible solely to Sam. As Dr. Beckett jumps from one existence to another, he strives to correct what has gone wrong, perpetually hoping that his next leap will be the leap that brings him home. His adventures are a constant battle against time and the ever-present hope of returning to his own life.
