Nora, a Brooklyn-based customer service rep struggling financially, works for Lakeview, one of the most opulent virtual heavens. Her life takes an unexpected turn when Nathan, a wealthy and carefree coder from Los Angeles, dies prematurely in a self-driving car accident. Facing the void, Nathan's controlling girlfriend Ingrid uploads him permanently into Lakeview, where he becomes Nora's newest client. As Nora helps Nathan navigate the bizarre and often hilarious landscape of digital immortality, they begin to forge an unexpected connection, raising questions about love, class, and the very nature of existence in a world where death is no longer the end.
