Something to Stream Every Day This Week Oct. 2-8, 2023
There’s a pervasive sense of optimism in the air in Hollywood that has nothing to do with the onset of fall weather. The Writers Guild of America is no longer striking, and today the heads of major studios like Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are sitting down with the Screen Actors Guild to see if the new contract with the WGA can’t provide a blueprint toward a deal with it as well.
By this time next week, a deal could well be in place that allows SAG and its affiliated members to get back to work. Until then, however, users can enjoy a fantastic new selection of shows and movies that are coming to streaming this week!

‘Fright Krewe’ Series Premiere | Hulu and Peacock
It all started during detention in a graveyard, when Soleil Le Claire, a girl who LIVES for horror, accidentally broke a spell on the Tree of Life and unleashed an ancient evil into this world. The spirit of Marie Laveau, voodoo queen of New Orleans, put her and four other kids in charge of saving the city from Belial, an ancient demon who feeds on fear. Luckily they’re not alone–each kid gets a special gift from voodoo spirits!
This newest series from Dreamworks Animation is ostensibly for younger audiences, but parents will love every spook-tacular second. It’s the best way to gear up for Halloween, especially for those struggling to find a last-minute costume idea.

‘Star Wars: Ahsoka’ Series Finale | Disney+
It’s all come down to this. Ahsoka Tano has traveled to a distant galaxy in search of her apprentice Sabine Wren. Wren was taken by dark forces on the hunt for Thrawn, the last living Imperial Grand Admiral who was banished from the galaxy years earlier.
Thrawn now appears to have everything he needs to return to a galaxy that would be instantly plunged into war upon his arrival. Sabine and Ahsoka have reunited with their long-lost friend Ezra Bridger, but will the three of them be able to prevent Thrawn from executing his plan and galvanizing the Imperial Remnant against the forces of the New Republic?

It’s been nearly 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now, a new team, led by physicist Ben Song (Raymond Lee), has been assembled to restart the project in hope of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. Everything changes, however, when Ben makes an unauthorized leap into the past, leaving the team behind to solve the mystery of why he did it.
Instead of leaping home as expected in the second series premiere, Ben finds himself in 1978 aboard a top-secret military flight, transporting mysterious cargo. When the flight comes under attack, the plot deepens as Ben and the crew discover the sobering truth behind their mission.

Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15 and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.

Rand thought the Dark One had been destroyed forever at the end of Season 1 of “The Wheel of Time.” Threats new and very old have been seeking out the young friends from the Two Rivers, now scattered over the world. This is a fantastic new series for parents with small children. It teaches important lessons in a down-to-earth, hilarious way that kids will be able to relate to with ease.
