‘Cult Massacre: One Day in Jonestown’ Series Premiere
National Geographic’s “One Day in America” series has tackled some tough to discuss, but highly consequential historical events like 9/11 and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Now, the series shifts focus to the horrific events of Jonestown.
Jim Jones started his idealistic religious movement in a self-sustaining community in Guyana in 1974. Four years later, a mass casualty event that saw 918 people lose their lives wiped Jonestown off the map and swept it into the history books. Viewers can learn the story for the first time, or hear new details never before seen in this limited series on Hulu.

Stanley Cup Finals Game 5, Edmonton Oilers vs. Florida Panthers | ESPN+
The 2024 Stanley Cup Finals looked as over as over got before Game 4. The Panthers had won each of the first three games convincingly and looked like they were well on their way to a sweep of the series before Saturday when the Oilers demolished the Panthers by a score of 8-1.
Watch Highlights of Panthers-Oilers Game 4:
The team probably can’t count on a scoring outburst like it saw during Game 4, but it has still gotten on the board in the series. Now, the Oilers have to follow a one-game-at-a-time approach. If they win Game 5, the series takes on an entirely new complexion. If they lose, they pack it in for a long offseason while an American team takes the Cup yet again.

‘Slave Play. Not a Movie. A Play’ Premiere | Max
“Slave Play” is one of Broadway’s most celebrated, genre-bending, and daring productions — breaking records and receiving critical acclaim for tackling race, sex, and interracial relationships. But viewers may not have much familiarity with the production if they don’t frequent Broadway theaters, and now Max will offer the chance to go behind the scenes on the show during the week of Juneteenth.
In the playful and provocative documentary “Slave Play. Not A Movie. A Play.,” playwright Jeremy O. Harris takes viewers behind the scenes as he directs new actors through workshop rehearsals while turning his critical eye to the thoughts, inspirations, and creative process that brought the play to life.

‘Kung Fu Panda 4’ Streaming Premiere | Peacock
Po is gearing up to become the spiritual leader of his Valley of Peace but also needs someone to take his place as Dragon Warrior. He will audition a series of new kung fu practitioners to take the mantle, but a villain named the Chameleon complicates the process by conjuring old villains from Po’s past to stop him.
The movie arrives on Peacock just a couple of weeks before I officially predicted it would, which I’m counting as a win considering the inscrutable and opaque formulas various streamers use to determine the theatrical window of films from their sister studios. “Kung Fu Panda 4” will be a Peacock exclusive for four months, and it shifts to Netflix in late October.

Their ideas of a perfect family come into question when they discover that Gabby is a troubled little girl, and the family begins to believe things aren’t what they seem. As the unsettling behavior of their “child” worsens and lies are uncovered, cracks in the family dynamic form with Jessica increasingly becoming concerned that adopted daughter Gabby is a threat to their family.

'Orphan Black: Echoes’ Series Premiere | AMC+
Set in the near future, Orphan Black: Echoes takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence, a fictional issue that is often unnervingly close to real-life events. Krysten Ritter stars in the follow-up to the original “Orphan Black,” which first premiered in 2013.
The show follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unraveling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal. Ritter plays Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story, trying to find her place in the world.
