Founded by golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, TGL (Tomorrow Golf League)) matches pit teams of three against each other for 15 holes — nine of which are team play followed by six of single match play. Played indoors at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, players use an oversized — and over-teched — next-gen golf simulator that features a giant screen, multiple terrain types, and a putting green that morphs and rotates to be a precise recreation of real-life greens. Additions include a 40-second shot clock, timeouts, overtime, and “hammer” — a throw-down that gives teams an extra point value to the respective hole.

TGL teams include Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf Club, Jupiter Links Golf Club, Los Angeles Golf Club, New York Golf Club, and The Bay Golf Club. Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama, Rickie Fowler, Tiger Woods, and Shane Lowry are among the big names taking part.
