At Long Last, Tennis Channel Ready to Unveil Its New Streaming Serivce
The service will offer all content from Tennis Channel+, and will allow viewers to stream the linear Tennis Channel with pay-TV credentials.
The Tennis Channel is finally ready to serve up its new streaming service. After years of development, the Tennis Channel has announced its new direct-to-consumer platform is rolling out to customers this month, bringing with it a huge selection of live tennis matches and shoulder coverage, including highlights and analysis from some of the biggest names in tennis.
Key Details:
- Tennis Channel’s new streamer will launch on Nov. 12.
- The service will include a livestream of the Tennis Channel cable network for pay-TV customers.
- The service will cost $10 per month or $110 per year.
The rollout of Tennis Channel’s new streaming service has been a long time coming. The channel’s owner Sinclair Broadcasting Group first announced the service was in development over two years ago, and confirmed last fall that the streamer was set to debut in 2024.
The new Tennis Channel streamer will be launched on Tuesday, Nov. 12 and will cost $10 per month, but will allow subscribers to save $10 per year by opting for the $110 annual plan.
“Tennis Channel is transforming the way fans connect with the sport,” Tennis Channel SVP for direct-to-consumer Matt Graham. “By merging our flagship network with extensive live and on-demand offerings, we’re making it easier for fans to enjoy the game they love. Subscribers have total control of their viewing experience, with the ability to follow their favorite players in real-time, switch between multiple live matches or sit back and enjoy our 24/7 network.”
As alluded to by Graham, the streamer will include a livestream of the Tennis Channel cable network. The service will also integrate all content from Tennis Channel+, including 10,000 hours of live and on-demand tennis, replays, highlights, and interviews along with press conferences and a library of series, podcasts, and documentaries. Those who get Tennis Channel through a pay-TV plan can watch the streamer at no extra cost.
In all, the streamer will offer full access to the men’s ATP and women’s WTA seasons, featuring every 1000, 500, and 250 event, as well as their year-end championships. International team competitions Davis Cup (men’s national teams), Billie Jean King Cup (women’s national teams), United Cup (mixed men’s and women’s international teams), and Laver Cup (men’s Europe vs. World teams).
Grand Slam tournaments like the U.S. Open and Wimbledon will still air elsewhere, but for tennis fans, this new streaming service is going to be a must-have. It will carry more live tennis coverage than any other platform and will feature plenty of content that fans can’t see anywhere else. Viewers will find the new streamer through the Tennis Channel app, or through the channel's website.
