‘The Chosen’ Season 4 Coming Free to Streaming Starting in June

The popular series follows the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth.

Ever since 2017, the hugely popular series “The Chosen” has been telling the story of the life of Jesus through the eyes of those who knew him. Show creator Dallas Jenkins has taken great care with the story, knowing how important it is to millions of people around the world, and his vision has been met with a highly enthusiastic response by audiences. Season 4 of “The Chosen” originally premiered in movie theaters, but will be arriving on streaming this weekend, and I’ll break down all the details you’ll need to watch it below!

Key Details:

  • Season 4 of “The Chosen” will begin streaming on June 2.
  • Viewers can watch episode livestreams on social media, or watch on-demand on The Chosen app.
  • Episodes of “The Chosen” are also available on Hulu, Peacock and Netflix.

TBD

Season 4 of “The Chosen” has already made its way through movie theaters, the traditional way that the show premieres new episodes. Now, it’s time for fans to be able to watch from home as Season 4 will arrive on [The Chosen App] on Sunday, June 2. The app carries also all episodes released of the series to date on demand.

In Season 4, the enemies of Jesus close in while his followers struggle to keep up, leaving him to carry the burden alone. Threatened by the reality of Jesus’ growing influence, religious leaders do the unthinkable — ally with their Roman oppressors. As the seeds of betrayal are planted and opposition to Jesus’ message turns violent, he’s left with no alternative but to demand his followers rise up.

The show will begin streaming live on “The Chosen’s” social media pages starting on June 2 at 7 p.m. ET. The second episode will debut at 8:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, June 6, and subsequent episodes will be released on Thursdays and Sundays at the same respective times over each of the next four weeks. Following each social media broadcast, each episode will be available to stream on-demand for free on The Chosen App. Then, later in the year, they will be available on other platforms, like Prime Video, Peacock, and Netflix.

“The wait is finally over. The response from those who’ve seen Season 4 in theaters was that this is our best season, so I can’t wait to deliver these episodes free and easy to the world,” said creator Dallas Jenkins. “We wanted to offer fans a chance to see it on the big screen together in theaters. But I’ve maintained the show will always ultimately be available free and easy, and we’re now ready for our livestreams, which are going to be bonkers this year.”

Fans can also find the first season of “The Chosen” on Netflix, or watch each of the first three seasons on-demand on Peacock or Hulu. There are multiple ways to watch the show, on either paid or free streaming platforms, and the release of Season 4 is only days away!
