From a Western epic to a long-awaited streaming premiere, there’s a lot of new titles coming to top streamers this week.
For the first time since 2022, there will be a fall TV season this year. The 2023 broadcast and cable slates were essentially wiped out by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but now that Hollywood is on the other side of those negotiations, things are essentially back on schedule for the fall premieres this year. That means the fall TV season is just a few weeks away, but top streaming services don’t think you should have to wait that long. NFL Preseason, New England Patriots vs. Washington Commanders | NBC, Peacock
The final preseason week in the NFL doesn’t usually make for must-watch TV. But this particular game will feature two of the top players in the 2024 draft in Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and Commanders signal-caller Jayden Daniels.
Daniels was named the starting quarterback of the Commanders on Monday morning, which raises the chances that he won’t suit up for this game. But Maye will almost certainly get some run, and if Daniels plays as well fans will get the chance to see two quarterbacks who could be the future of the league on a national stage.
