We’ll let you know all the details that are available about the film, so read on!

Everything you need to know about ‘The Thursday Murder Club’

Will ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ be released in theaters?

There has been a great deal of conversation over the years about Netflix and its policy of not releasing most of its original movies theatrically. What is ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ about?

“The Thursday Murder Club” follows a group of retired friends who like to solve murders as a hobby. But when these true-crime enthusiasts are pulled into a close-to-home murder investigation, they find that sleuthing is a lot harder than they imagined it to be.

Who stars in ‘The Thursday Murder Club’?

“The Thursday Murder Club” has a cast that few other streaming original movies can boast. Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, and Ben Kingsley headline the film, and big names like Jonathan Pryce and David Tennant are also attached to the movie.

In addition, the film will feature Celia Imrie, Naomie Ackie, Daniel Mays, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Tom Ellis, Paul Freeman, Geoff Bell, Richard E. Grant, and Ingrid Oliver.

Who directed ‘The Thursday Murder Club’

“The Thursday Murder Club” is directed by Chris Columbus, who many cinephiles might remember as the director of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.”

“This is the finest cast I’ve worked with since ‘Potter,’” Columbus told Netflix. “They’re just so incredibly well-prepared, and it’s because they do everything. They do theater, they do television, they do film, and they’ve developed those sorts of muscles.”

Will you be able to stream ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ for free?

No, “The Thursday Murder Club” is a Netflix exclusive, and Netflix does not offer a free trial to new or returning customers. The cheapest way to stream the movie will be with a subscription to the Netflix Standard with Ads plan, which costs $8 per month.
