Ring in a new month with Freevee! In addition to library additions like 1999’s provocative teen drama “Cruel Intentions” and 2020’s festival hit “Never Rarely Sometimes Always,” the free Amazon streamer will both welcome back and say goodbye to its critically acclaimed espionage series “Alex Rider,” starring Otto Farrant, on April 5. Later in the month, the streamer’s new single-camera comedy “Dinner with the Parents,” starring Jon Glaser, Henry Hall, Dan Bakkedahl, Carol Kane, and more, will have its premiere.

The cult classic, which turned 25 earlier this month, arrives on the free streamer at the start of the month. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon, and Selma Blair lead the cast of the drama, which follows two vicious stepsiblings (Gellar and Phillippe) of an elite Manhattan prep school who make a bet to bed the new headmaster’s daughter (Witherspoon) before the start of term. Never Rarely Sometimes Always” | Monday, April 1

The 2020 drama made its debut at Sundance before being selected to compete at the 70th Berlin International Film Festival, where it won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize. Sidney Flanigan makes her acting debut as Autumn, who faced with an unintended pregnancy and a lack of support, crosses state lines with her cousin, Skylar, “on a fraught journey of friendship, bravery, and compassion.” Talia Ryder co-stars with Théodore Pellerin, Ryan Eggold, and Sharon Van Etten.

The Matrix Resurrections” | Monday, April 1

The aptly named “The Matrix Resurrections” brought the Wachowski franchise back in 2022 for its first since 2003’s “The Matrix Revolutions.” The love-it-or-hate-it entry is set 60 years after the revolution with Keanu Reeves returning as Neo, whose seemingly ordinary life has his stuck unable to distinguish reality from fantasy, and a group of rebels (with assistance from a programmed version of Morpheus) free him from the new Matrix to fight an equally new enemy. Carrie-Anne Moss returns to co-star with Reeves. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christina Ricci, Jada Pinkett Smith, and more make up the ensemble.

Alex Rider” Season 3 | Friday, April 5

The critically acclaimed and critically underappreciated “Alex Rider” signs off with its third and final season. Based on the series of spy novels by Anthony Horowitz, Otto Farrant leads the cast as the title Rider, who is recruited by MI6 as a teenage spy to infiltrate the places others are unable to. The series also stars Stephen Dillane, Vicky McClure, Andrew Buchan, Brenock O’Connor, Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo, Liam Garrigan, and others, with Sofia Helin, Kevin McNally, and Jason Wong joining to send the series off with a bang.

The new single-camera comedy series, a United States exclusive, centers on the tight-knit Langer family, whose weekly family get-together on Friday evenings always devolves into chaos and fiasco, be it by betrayal, pranks, unwelcome neighbors, bad decisions, and at least one felony. Jon Glaser, Henry Hall, Dan Bakkedahl, Carol Kane, Daniel Thrasher, and Michaela Watkins star.
