o you know what your favorite TV or movie genre is? It’s ok if the answer is no, the amount of available content nowadays can make even the most seasoned TV watcher’s head spin. The free ad-supported streaming service Tubi wants to help confused viewers and has launched a new website that allows users to take a short quiz and find out what their ideal genre really is.

Key Details:

  • Tubi’s new quiz site is part of the streamer’s Super Bowl campaign.
  • A 10-question quiz will help users discover their ideal genre.
  • Once viewers take the quiz, Tubi shows them the available titles they’re most likely to enjoy.

The My Test Tubi site is live now, and viewers can head over to be paired with the best genre for their personalities. The Genre-ology test uses “ scientifically proven streaming insights” to match you with the best content based on your preferences.

The quiz asks the user 10 questions, such as how they would react if a doctor told them they were dying, only to hit them with a “just kidding” at the end. It then tabulates the answers and tells the taker which content genres they’d be most likely to enjoy.

Tubi’s Genre-ology is part of the streamer’s Super Bowl campaign, which also featured an odd commercial ostensibly intended to let viewers know that its library has something for everyone, no matter their own preferences or prevailing media trends.

Once you have completed the quiz, Tubi will offer you a “Your Tubi Picks” button, which will allow you to see movies and TV shows in the Tubi catalog that best match your results. You can then stream those titles free on Tubi, with or without creating an account first.

For the record, my results said I was a Sci-Fi Sun, Fantasy Moon, with Comedy Rising. You’ll just have to take the Genre-ology quiz for yourself if you want to be matched with new titles by Tubi.
