Tubi to launch World Cup Hub with Opening Ceremonies, game broadcasts

The Fox-owned streamer is set up to provide around-the-clock content surrounding the highly anticipated tournament.

With a background in sports and entertainment reporting, he’s covered everything from Broadway to college football. He cut the cord in 2014 and has a sharp eye for streaming trends and a soft spot for Hallmark movies.

With less than a month until the 2026 World Cup kicks off, Fox-owned free streaming service Tubi has released info on how it plans to make streaming one of the world’s biggest sporting events easier for fans. Today, the platform revealed details about its “2026 FIFA World Cup FOX Hub,” a free streaming destination that will bring together live matches, highlights, analysis, and original programming throughout the tournament.

Key Details:

  • One-stop shop: Tubi is launching a World Cup hub that will feature highlights, game replays, and content surrounding the tournament.
  • Free for all: The streamer will kick off the World Cup by airing the Opening Ceremonies and two matches for free.
  • A family affair: Fox outlets will broadcast every game of the 2026 World Cup.

In the past, Tubi has made World Cup games available on demand and launched a World Cup-specific free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel, but this new hub marks the first time that the streamer has built a dedicated experience around a global sporting event of this scale. The World Cup hub will be accessible directly from Tubi’s homepage across connected TVs, mobile devices, and the web.

To celebrate the launch of the hub, Tubi will broadcast the World Cup’s Opening Ceremonies and two early matches live and in 4K. The Opening Ceremonies will begin on Thursday, June 11, at 1:30 p.m. ET, and will be followed by the match between Mexico and South Africa. Then the next day, the United States and Paraguay will face off.

In addition to the live broadcasts, the hub will include highlights, shortened versions of games, select replays, recaps of top plays, studio programming, and an around-the-clock feed featuring FOX Sports digital content and tournament coverage. Tubi is also adding a slate of original programming tied to the tournament, including a docuseries following players Weston McKennie, Marc Cucurella, and Harry Wilson as they prepare for the tournament, Fox Sports programming, creator-led content, documentaries, and more.

“The FIFA World Cup FOX Hub is programmed around everything that surrounds it: the players, the teams, the countries, and the creators who live and breathe the sport, delivering the ultimate fan experience,” Tubi SVP Samuel Harowitz said. “The Hub offers original docuseries following players on their journey to the tournament, talk shows and podcasts bringing fan-fueled energy to ‘the beautiful game,’ and classic films that capture what soccer means to people around the world. We’re excited to offer a content slate that gives every kind of fan something to connect with, before, during, and after the matches.”

Like everything on Tubi, the Hub will be free to access and does not require a subscription. The hub is designed to evolve in real-time throughout the tournament, keeping fans up-to-date on the key moments from across all aspects of the World Cup, from pre-tournament anticipation through the final whistle. The Hub will be organized into curated sections that make it easy to follow the stories shaping the tournament, whether fans want to catch up on the latest highlights, find expert analysis, or dive into the culture and history of the game.

Live broadcasts of the World Cup will be available across Fox platforms, including Fox, FS1, and [FS2][fox sports 2], while Tubi is setting itself up to be the ultimate streaming home for soccer fanatics between the games.
