At the moment, Xumo Play does not allow you to change any account settings that it keeps track of. There’s a simple reason for this: if you don’t have a Xumo Stream Box or other device that uses the Xumo operating system, there’s no need to create a Xumo Play account in the first place. Only Xumo TV or Stream Box owners have any reason to sign up for a Xumo account in the first place.
This means that you won’t be able to use features like a watchlist, Continue Watching, or other account-specific functions as a Xumo Play viewer. If you need to access such settings with your free streaming services, you may want to plan your viewing choices accordingly.
Since there are no accounts with a Xumo Play subscription, there’s also no way to add a payment method to the streamer itself. You’ll never have to worry about the security of your information under this arrangement, at the very least.
Xumo Play also doesn’t support parental controls of any kind at the moment, so you’ll want to make sure that if the streamer is ever on in your home, you’re watching with the kids. There’s too much content of every kind available on Xumo Play to feel completely safe about allowing kids unrestricted access to the service.
