Verizon lowers the price of its HBO Max add-on
Ad-free HBO Max savings for Verizon customers who opt into a HBO Max and Netflix streaming bundle.
Verizon customers can choose a selection of streaming benefits with the myPlan and myHome subscription options, including HBO Max. The bill for this subscription comes straight from Verizon, bundling a user’s invoices and helping them to save time and trouble as a result. On Tuesday, Verizon announced that it was making the HBO Max add-on even more accessible by dropping the starting price to less than $10 per month.

- Deep discount: HBO Max Standard upgrade now $7.50 for Verizon myPlan and myHome customers who have the HBO Max perk.
- Ad-free too: HBO Max Premium upgrade is dipping to $12 per month.
- Bundle and save: The Netflix and HBO Max (With Ads) bundle that is available to Verizon subscribers remains $10 per month.
As revealed on Tuesday, Verizon has reduced the price of the ad-free upgrades to HBO Max with Ads streaming perk for myPlan (mobile) and myHome (internet) customers. Upgrading to HBO Max Standard is $7.50 per month — $3.50 off the standard price of the plan. The discounted price will be available starting Dec. 16.
The price of HBO Max Premium is also dropping for Verizon customers from $15 to $12 per month. Considering that signing up for HBO Max Premium outside of Verizon will cost a full $23 per month, Verizon customers can save over $10 by choosing this benefit.
Finally, the Netflix & HBO Max (With Ads) bundle price remains unchanged at $10 per month, representing a nearly 50% discount. Viewers will save $8.98 per month with the new price. In the years to come, there may not be any need for this bundle, should Netflix be able to close its deal to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery's studio and streaming assets.
Existing customers of the Verizon myHome or myPlan subscriptions don’t have to do anything to apply the discount — it will be done automatically during their first billing cycle after Dec. 16. Get the HBO Max add-on for a great discount from Verizon this holiday season, and start watching!
