Hoopla is available natively using Google Chromecast. Additionally, you may be able to stream to your Google Chromecast through Google Cast.
Hoopla app on Google Chromecast
- Go to the Home Screen on your Google Chromecast.
- Launch the app store and search for “Hoopla” on your Google Chromecast.
- Select “Download” to install the app.
- You can now stream Hoopla on Google Chromecast.
Google Cast
- Install the Hoopla iPhone/iPad app or Android Phone/Tablet app.
- Make sure your streaming device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Android Phone/Tablet or iPhone/iPad.
- Start playing the content in the Hoopla app and select the Google Cast icon.
- Choose your Google Chromecast and it will start displaying on your streaming device.

No Parental Controls
There are no parental controls for Hoopla.
Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Disney+, Max, Hulu, Netflix, Paramount Plus, Peacock, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, and STARZ have parental control features.
BingePass Feature
A Hoopla BingePass gives you days of unlimited access to great online content with a single borrow! Some BingePasses allow you to explore directly through a partner’s platform, while others give you access to entire collections of content on Hoopla. It’s a great way to discover new entertainment, try your hand at a new skill, or learn about a new topic.
Once you borrow a BingePass, you can access it immediately. To access the content again, you can find your BingePass through the Borrowed section of My Hoopla. When your borrow period is up, you’re welcome to borrow the same BingePass again.
Hoopla never shares any of your personal information with BingePass partners. They simply know you came from Hoopla.
Currently you can access BingePass on the web, android, iOS, and Android. BingePass is not available on set top boxes, (Roku, Fire TV/Stick or Apple TV).

Movies
The movie library rotates. Unfortunately, major hits are few and far between. As of this writing, the most popular titles are “The King’s Speech,” “Terrifier 2,” “Blue Valentine,” and “My Cousin Vinny.”
