LocalBTV
LocalBTV gives users the ability to watch free local broadcast TV without an antenna on their computer, phone, tablet, or TV (aka virtual-over-the-air or vOTA streaming). The platform is available in 53 US markets/DMAs, powers 704 local broadcast TV channels, plus 88 “hyper-local” Community Video channels. The service paused operations in November 2023. It is unclear if it will return.
Samsung Smart TV
Samsung Smart TV can be used to watch Live TV Streaming Services and On Demand Streaming Services.

Unfortunately, LocalBTV is not currently available natively using Samsung Smart TV. LocalBTV may launch a native app for Samsung Smart TV in the future, but for now you can only stream using Apple AirPlay (2018+ models).
You can still sign up for LocalBTV and use it on other devices like Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Roku, Android TV, iPhone/iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, Mac, Windows, LG Smart TV, Sony Smart TV, and VIZIO Smart TV.
Apple AirPlay
- Click here to sign up for LocalBTV.
- Install the LocalBTV iPhone/iPad app.
- Once installed, log in using your LocalBTV credentials.
- Make sure your Smart TV is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone/iPad.
- Start playing the content in the LocalBTV app and select the AirPlay icon.
- Choose your Samsung Smart TV and it will start displaying on your Smart TV.
If you have a compatible TV and you don’t see AirPlay as an option, make sure you update to the latest Samsung Smart TV firmware.
