Xumo announces new line of smart TVs are now available
Manufactured by Westinghouse, these TVs come in a range of sizes, and will be offered in both HD and 4K.
Having more choices is great for shoppers, and Xumo wants to help. The joint venture streaming platform brought to life by Comcast and Charter Communications is partnering with Westinghouse to launch a new line of smart TVs powered by the Xumo operating system. These sets are available now at select retailers in the United States, with more expected to add them soon.
Key Details:
- Resolution options: New Westinghouse and Xumo sets come available in 4K and HD resolutions.
- Big-name retailers: The new sets have launched on Amazon.com and Walmart.com first.
- Xumo power!: Westinghouse specifically chose Xumo’s OS for the ease-of-use it provides.
New Westinghouse Xumo TVs are available in two sizes for viewers who want 4K resolution: 43” and 50”. The line is also available in HD in sizes from 24” to 43”, and 55”, 58”, and 65” 4K models will become available to U.S. consumers sometime later in 2025.
Each of these sets is powered by the Xumo operating system, which includes a universal voice search that allows viewers to look for titles across multiple streaming apps at the same time. Other features include a customizable My List function, as well as access to favorite streaming apps from Apple TV+ to Tubi and everything in between.
“We chose Xumo for our next line of Westinghouse TVs because its user-friendly OS cuts through the complexity of today’s streaming landscape,” president of Westinghouse Electronics USA Russ Johnston said. “We’re thrilled to launch these new models to Westinghouse dealers and distributors—giving consumers a chance to bring home a high-quality, affordable smart TV at a great value.”
Viewers will also find the free streamer Xumo Play available to watch with ease on these TVs, unlocking hundreds of streaming channels and thousands of on-demand titles at no cost. Their launch will give customers yet another low-cost option to consider when shopping for a new smart TV.
“Westinghouse and Xumo are a natural fit because we each prioritize quality and simplicity in the products we build,” Xumo SVP Stephanie Cassi said. “The Westinghouse Xumo TV delivers on both of those pillars, providing consumers an elevated viewing experience with an intuitive interface that makes discovering content effortless.”
