It should come as no surprise to anyone that our team of experts here at The Streamable is pretty passionate (and opinionated) about streaming. Some of us love sports, while others love to rewatch old shows, which led us to a new idea. When we talk about TV show, we tend to talk about them in terms of new seasons or series premieres, because that is what usually generates the most news. However, sometimes “new” isn’t what we are looking for as we plop down on the couch at night.

Sometimes it’s specific, individual episodes that call out to us. This has led us to a new series, where we hope that you’ll join in on the fun and share your favorite episode of a different show. Our team is putting together a list of our favorite series, and will break down what we think are the best episodes of each, and we aim to hit one per week.

To kick off the series, I wanted to start with a fan-favorite, “The Office.” There are nine seasons of laugh-out-loud episodes, spanning from 2005 to 2013, giving us a grand total of 201 episodes. As I sat down to think about my favorites, it was a bit of an internal struggle.

If I had to pick one episode that I never get tired of, and that always makes me laugh, I’d have to go with “Fun Run,” from Season 4. The episode starts with mayhem, with Michael hitting Meredith with his car in the Dunder Mifflin parking lot. But that’s just the beginning; from there, Michael organizes a 5k fun run to support rabies awareness, because he learns that Meredith might have contracted rabies after being bitten by a bat in an earlier episode.

There is plenty of other craziness in the episode, like Dwight “taking care” of Angela’s cat. However, it is also one of the first times that Jim and Pam’s actual relationship is showcased. Every time I watch the episode, I find something else to laugh about, or catch a line or reference that I missed previously. Those are the kind of episodes that I enjoy the most.
