What’s Coming to Roku Channel in July 2022, Including ‘Friday Night Lights,‘ ‘Natural Born Narco’
The critically acclaimed “Friday Night Lights” is coming to the Roku Channel in July. The show, created by Brian Grazer and Peter Berg, records life in the rural town of Dillion, Texas. Here, winning the state football championship is everything to its residents. The issues faced by the coach and his players mirrored concerns in small-towns across the country. The series was inspired by the real-life Permian Panthers and the surrounding town of Odessa. Connie Britton, Kyle Chandler and Zach Gilford, among others, co-star.

Also coming to the Roku Channel in July is “Natural Born Narco,” a drama series based on the real-life drug kingpin Amado Carillo Fuentes and how he built his empire.
Based on Rebecca Wells’ bestselling novel of the same name, “Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood” is a funny, outrageous and often heartbreaking story of Southern women and the multigenerational tensions between mothers and daughters. The 2002 film arrives on July 1. The all-star cast includes Sandra Bullock, Maggie Smith, Ashley Judd, and Ellen Burstyn.
