What’s the best live TV streaming service for watching Starz?

Watch new episodes of ‘Outlander’ and more on the Starz cable channel using a live TV streaming service from our list.

The Starz cable channel is a popular one right now. The network is the only cable channel that will be offering new episodes of Season 7, Part 2 of “Outlander,” but there’s a lot more to watch there, including the serial killer show “Sweetpea,” blockbuster movies from Lionsgate and more. Most cable plans make it expensive to add Starz onto your package, but what about live TV streaming services? I’ll walk you through all the ways to stream Starz with a live TV service, and how much you’ll have to pay below!

What’s the best live TV streaming service for watching Starz?

How to stream Starz

The Starz cable network is available with all six of The Streamable’s top live TV services, but none of them carries the channel in its base package. Check out what kind of add-ons you’ll need to watch the channel and how much you’ll be expected to pay for the privilege here.

Top Pick: Philo

Philo offers Starz as an add-on for $11 per month

Philo is our best choice for watching Starz with a live TV streaming service, mostly because it’s the least expensive. A Philo base package starts at $28 per month, and includes 18 of The Streamable’s top 35 cable channels, including AMC, Hallmark Channel, [History Channel], Lifetime, and more.

Starz is available through an add-on for $11 per month. Viewers will get a full livestream of the Starz cable channel, plus all of its top titles on-demand through the STARZ app when purchasing this add-on. That brings the title to $39 per month to stream Starz with a Philo subscription.

Runner-up: Sling TV

Sling TV is the next-cheapest way to watch STARZ, with a total price of $51 per month.

Like Philo, Sling TV is one of the least expensive ways to watch Starz. A base channel package to this service starts at $40 per month for around 40 channels, and even though that price is rising to $46 for new customers beginning in December 2024, Sling is still less expensive than many other options.

The Starz add-on is $11 here, just like on Philo, and gives you access to all the same options. Once you’ve got the Starz add-on, your total monthly price will rise to only $57 with a Sling Orange or Blue base plan.

Watch for free: DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM offers a three-month free trial of Starz

With DIRECTV STREAM, you get a chance to stream Starz and other top cable channels for free. You’ll need a DIRECTV STREAM base package to start with, and the ENTERTAINMENT plan carries nearly all of The Streamable’s top cable channels. After a five-day free trial, plans start at $87 per month.

Viewers get to add premium cable channels like Starz Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, Cinemax, and others with DIRECTV STREAM completely free for three months. That’s a great way to watch Starz live for free, even if you have to pay more to watch DIRECTV STREAM than you do some other services.

Great for bundle lovers: Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV carries Starz as an add-on for $11

Hulu + Live TV also comes with a free trial, three days in length. Plans start at $83 per month, and include around 90 channels each, including local broadcast networks. Like the other services on this list, the Starz add-on is available for $11 per month more.

Viewers who sign up at the $83-per-month level also get access to Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ as part of their subscription at no extra charge. Its a great way to watch Starz as well as all the content in the Disney Bundle at a fantastic overall price.

Another free trial option: Fubo

Fubo has Starz available as an add-on as well, with a free trial for new customers.

Fubo plans start at $95 per month, including the regional sports network fee that nearly all customers will have to pay. It comes with a free trial of varying length, depending on what time of month you sign up. You can watch Starz as part of the STARZ add-on for $11 per month on top of your base Fubo package, and watch it alongside the huge array of live sports on the service.

Last choice: YouTube TV

YouTube TV is another good choice for watching Starz. Its plans start at $73 per month, and you can grab the STARZ add-on for another $11 on top of that price. YouTube TV also offers a free trial, but it’s based on the time of month you sign up. There’s no extensive lineup of regional sports channels or free streaming services bundled in with YouTube TV, which is why it’s last on our list.
