PBS Masterpiece, STARZ and Prime Video comprise a fantastic bundle for watching historical romance via streaming.

Trying to find historical romances on cable can be a bit of an exhausting affair. These shows can be few and far between, and signing up for a pay-TV package that costs $80 per month or more to try and find them is an inefficient process, at best. On-demand streaming services are much better for fans who love historical romances and want to watch on their own schedule, and I’ve assembled a bundle of three services below that will bring you a great lineup of such titles for just $26 per month.

Best streaming bundle for watching historical romance

Prime Video

Downton Abbey makes Prime Video a must-have for historical romance lovers.

Amazon’s streaming service Prime Video is the first stop in this bundle. Its library has some really well-known historical series with a romantic bent, headlined by “Downton Abbey,” all seasons of which are available to stream on the service.

Prime Video has a huge catalog of shows and movies, and a little digging reveals some diamonds in the rough. The service carries movies like “Sophie and the Rising Sun,” “Tulip Fever,” “The Edge of Love,” and hundreds of others that historical romance fans will adore.

PBS Masterpiece

Poldark and other Masterpiece Theater titles make PBS Masterpiece a must for any historical romance lovers.

When you sign up for Prime Video, you’ll be able to subscribe to the streaming service PBS Masterpiece through its interface and keep both bills in the same place. This service is fantastic for lovers of historical romance, with episodes from PBS’s Masterpiece Theater and more available.

Specific titles on the streamer include “(link: https://thestreamable.com/shows/miss-scarlet-and-the-duke-2020 text: Miss Scarlet and the Duke,” “Poldark,” the Jane Austen adaptation Sanditon,” “Wolf Hall,” and many others. It’s a great place to stream high-quality historical romance without having to worry that the content will get vulgar or too graphic just in the name of audience retention.
