The 10 shows we’re most excited to stream in 2025
‘Andor’ Season 2
Premieres: April 22 on Disney+
The first season of “Andor” was one of my favorite live-action Star Wars projects in a long time. The show centers on Cassian Andor, a once-reluctant rebel who grows into one of the most important members of the Rebel Alliance. The show offers a portrait of life in the galaxy under the Empire as being truly terrifying and frames the life-and-death struggle for freedom by the Rebels as the high-stakes battle the franchise has always tried to make viewers believe it was.
‘The Bear’ Season 4
Premieres: Summer 2025 on Hulu
What did the Chicago Tribune’s review of The Bear restaurant say? Will Sidney stay, or be driven off by Carmen’s assumption that being a top chef means having the interpersonal skills of an uncooked lobster? Those burning questions and more await fans in Season 4 of “The Bear,” which continues to stack awards hardware in its trophy case. Will Season 4 continue to maintain the show’s tradition of excellence, or is it one bad review away from oblivion, just like the restaurant itself?
‘Dexter: Resurrection’ Season 1
Premieres: TBD on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME
Dexter Morgan is supposed to be dead. That’s certainly the impression fans were left with at the end of 2021’s “Dexter: New Blood,” but Michael C. Hall is returning for this latest spin-off series in the franchise. Considering the popularity so far of the prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin,” fans of the character should be thrilled that this show is coming to airwaves at some point in 2025.

‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Season 1
Premieres: TBD on Max
The latest “Game of Thrones” spin-off will be a limited series, one which tells the tale of Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg, whose real identity as Aegon Targaryen, the future king of Westeros, is known only to a few. Set between “House of the Dragon” and “Game of Thrones,” the show will once again immerse fans in a world of magic, swordplay, and the high-stakes politics of life at court. Both shows from the franchise so far have been a hit, and we expect nothing less from “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.”
Max
Max is a subscription video streaming service that gives access to the full HBO library, along with exclusive Max Originals. There are hubs for content from TLC, HGTV, Food Network, Discovery, TCM, Cartoon Network, Travel Channel, ID, and more. Watch hit series like “The Last of Us,” “House of the Dragon,” “Succession,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and more. Thanks to the B/R Sports add-on, users can watch NBA, MLB, NHL, March Madness, and NASCAR events.
‘The Last of Us’ Season 2
Premieres: Spring 2025 on Max
Joel and Ellie are continuing their journey across a ravaged wasteland in the new season of “The Last of Us.” Set five years after the events of Season 1, the show will follow the pair as they explore new areas and meet new characters. The latter category will include Jeffrey Wright’s Isaac, and Catherine O’Hara as a therapist-like figure that will force Joel to come to terms with the decisions of his past, including his determination to spare Ellie from being dissected to find the cure for the outbreak that has turned much of life on Earth into mindless parasites.

‘Poker Face’ Season 2
Premieres: TBD on Peacock
Charlie Cale is climbing back into her trademark Plymouth Barracuda for a new journey in “Poker Face” Season 2. Her innate ability to tell when someone is lying to her usually leads to trouble, though Charlie’s charming personality is often enough to get her out of most scrapes. Season 2 will feature some incredible guest stars, including Cynthia Erivo , Giancarlo Esposito, Margot Martindale, John Mulaney, and many more. This series is often hilarious and also brings some of the classic detective show tropes back to the screen.
‘Severance’ Season 2
Premieres: Jan. 17 on Apple TV+
Do you have what it takes to excel at Lumon Industries? Mark Scout found by the end of Season 1 that he really didn’t, and the cliffhanger ending from that season has fans guessing as to where the show will go from here. Season 2 will answer that question emphatically, with new characters portrayed by Gwendoline Christie, Alia Shawkat, Bob Balaban, and Merritt Wever to help (or hinder) Mark’s efforts to expose what’s really going on at Lumon.
‘Stranger Things’ Season 5
Premieres: TBD on Netflix
It’s time to head back to the Upside-Down for one last adventure. When we last checked in with “https://thestreamable.com/Stranger Things,” the town of Hawkins, Indiana, was facing an invasion of the Upside-Down caused by the villainous Vecna, a former member of the program that gave Eleven her dazzling but dangerous mental powers. Will Mike, Will, Dustin, El, Lucas, and their friends be able to stop Vecna’s dastardly plan once and for all?
‘Yellowjackets’ Season 3
Premieres: Feb. 14 on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME
As it turns out, getting stranded in the woods and being forced to survive on their own was just the beginning for the characters of “Yellowjackets.” With Hilary Swank joining the cast for Season 3, there’s sure to be more mayhem and jaw-dropping moments than ever before. Will anyone make it out alive this season? You’ll just have to stream it for yourself and find out!
‘The White Lotus’ Season 3
Premieres: Feb. 16 on Max
This could be the Thai vacation of a lifetime… or a nightmare from Hell. There will probably be elements of both in Season 3 of “The White Lotus,” which whisks viewers to Thailand and shows audiences the kind of depraved things the characters get up to over the course of a week’s vacation. Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, and more will headline the ensemble cast of the show’s third season.
