Best choice for watching College Football Playoff? It’s Sling TV
Sling offers all the channels you’ll need to watch the 2024 CFP for $30 to $40 less than other streamers.
The expanded College Football Playoff is about to begin! The first game of the 2024-25 CFP is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 20, and the tournament will continue through the national championship game on Jan. 20. There are more games than ever before thanks to the decision to expand the playoffs to 12 teams this season, which of course means there are more channels to watch on than ever before as well. Cord cutters who are still trying to figure out how to watch the games would do best to consider a subscription to Sling TV. It’s our favorite way to stream every game from the CFP, and we’ll explain why below!

What channels are 2024-25 College Football Playoff games on?
The 2024-25 College Football Playoff will play out on ABC, ESPN, and TNT. In addition, any games appearing on TNT will be available to stream on Warner Bros. Discovery’s flagship streaming service Max. You don’t need a Max subscription to watch, but having one will unlock the streamer’s full library of HBO content and much more.
As per usual with live sporting events on ABC, ESPN3 will simulcast all College Football Playoff contests that are appearing on that channel live.

Does Sling TV carry all the channels you’ll need to stream the 2024-25 College Football Playoff?
Yes, it does! Sling TV carries TNT in both of its base channel packages, the Orange and Blue plans. ESPN is only available in its Orange Package, while ABC is available in the Blue Package in a small number of markets (more on that below).
We recommend the Orange package for viewers who want to watch CFP games with Sling TV. This plan unlocks ESPN and ESPN3, so any games being shown on ABC will also be available to customers who opt in. It’s the best way to make sure you get access to every contest, without having to sweat the availability of ABC or switch plans.
Does Sling TV have ABC?
Yes, Sling TV carries ABC in its Blue package, but only in a small number of markets around the country. It’s also worth pointing out that in areas where Sling Blue offers ABC, Fox, and NBC in its Blue plan, customers will have to tack an extra $5 per month onto their bill. That’s why we recommend watching College Football Playoff games through Sling’s Orange plan instead.
Check out the markets where Sling Blue carries ABC in the table below:
ABC market | Channel call sign |
---|---|
Chicago | WLS |
Fresno | KFSN |
Houston | KTRK |
Los Angeles | KABC |
New York | WABC |
Philadelphia | WPVI |
Raleigh-Durham | WTVD |
San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose |

Is Sling TV offering any deals for watching the 2024-25 College Football Playoff?
There are two great deals that new Sling customers will want to be aware of when signing up. First is the streamer’s 50% off for first month of service to new customers offer. As long as you’re a new Sling subscriber, you can slash the price of your base channel package in half for your first month of service, which will carry you all the way through the end of the 2024-25 CFP for just $23 if you sign up today.
Customers can also prepay for Sling’s Blue plan and save big! If you’re willing to sign up for three months of service and pay the entire bill upfront, Sling will drop the monthly price to $33, a total of $99 due when you sign up.
