As a dad, I’m always looking to save money on everything from groceries to entertainment. When it comes to streaming, the best move is usually to pay in advance for an annual plan. But there’s another way to save on streaming, gas, food, and much more: Walmart+.
If you have children at home, it’s worth giving it a try for 30 days risk-free to see all the ways you can save.
What Is Walmart+?
Walmart+ is a subscription offering deep discounts and perks for shoppers. If you like to have items delivered, it’s especially valuable. But the service offers lots of exclusive savings.
Walmart+ is not a streaming service, but it does come with Paramount+ for free.
What Does Walmart+ Cost?
The best way to save is with the annual plan, which works out to $8.17 / month. If you’re not sure of committing, you can pay $12.95 each month.
But you get 30 days free, so you could sign up for the annual plan, evaluate it for a month, and decide if you want to continue.
Get Free Paramount+
Families will find a lot to love with Paramount+. When you subscribe to Walmart+, you automatically get the ad-supported version of the service for free. That version of Paramount+ normally costs $7.99 / month. So if you compare the price of standalone Paramount+ with Walmart+ and free Paramount+, it’s a great value.
If you want to upgrade to Paramount+ with Showtime (which also removes the ads), you can choose to pay $6.49 a month or $64.99 a year. If you choose this option, you can also watch your live local CBS station.
What Can You Watch with Paramount+?
Paramount+ offers blockbuster movies, tons of kids’ content, and popular original series. You’ll see almost all the biggest hits from BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Smithsonian Channel. Users can also watch virtual channels that play endless reruns of shows like “Survivor,” “The Amazing Race” or “Beavis and Butt-head.”
For children, that Nickelodeon library is dynamite. You’ve got thousands of hours of “PAW Patrol,” “Spongebob Squarepants,” “Digby Dragon,” “Rugrats,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Peppa Pig,” and much more.
The movie library stretches back 100 years, so there’s plenty to watch, from silent films and old Westerns to modern-day “Mission: Impossible” adventures with Tom Cruise.
For sports, you can watch March Madness and NFL games. Paramount+ is a soccer lover’s dream with Serie A, Argentina Liga Profesional de Fútbol, and UEFA Champions League.

Having kids is wildly expensive, so it may seem counterintuitive that paying for a subscription could actually save you money. But Walmart+ is so cheap on the annual plan, you’d actually have to try hard not to make your money back.
Fill up your gas tank with the discount at Sam’s Club (my Sam’s has gas 40-85 cents cheaper than surrounding gas stations). Get a cheap meal at Burger King. Kick back with free cartoons, great TV shows, and blockbuster movies on Paramount+. Save time on grocery shopping by just having everything delivered for free.
