Following last year’s box office run, which took in over $324.3 million, “The Wild Robot” will be available to stream via Peacock on Jan. 24. The film will also have a theatrical re-release on Jan. 17 if you missed it in theaters the first time around.

What is ‘The Wild Robot’?

Based on the popular 2016 novel “The Wild Robot,” the story follows Roz, a futuristic robot who mysteriously washes up on a remote island. Initially unfamiliar with nature and her surroundings, Roz learns to adapt by observing animals and mimicking their behaviors while trying not to scare them off completely. Over time, she gains their trust, especially after adopting and raising an orphaned gosling named Brightbill.

As Roz becomes part of the island’s ecosystem, she faces challenges from nature and her origins. When humans search for her, Roz must choose between survival and protecting her new home. “The Wild Robot” is a truly heartfelt story about love, family, and, most of all, friendship.
