To Pluto TV, with love. Just in time to lay claim to some of the extra viewing time many audience members have on their hands around the holidays, the free streamer Pluto TV is adding one of the most popular film franchises of all time to its library. As announced on Monday, Pluto has begun streaming titles from the James Bond series, and all films from the franchise will soon be available there.

Key Details:

  • Available now: Bond films have already begun rolling out on Pluto TV.
  • Early Christmas gift: More of the movies will arrive on Pluto in December.
  • For Pluto’s eyes only?: The films are also available to stream ad-free on Prime Video.

More than 20 Bond movies are already available to stream on Pluto TV, including “The Spy Who Loved Me,” “GoldenEye,” and “Skyfall.” The films are available to stream on demand on Pluto, but if you don’t want to have to choose which one you watch, you can also stream the Pluto TV 007 channel 24 hours a day and let Pluto set the schedule.

Pluto has also launched a James Bond channel in Spanish, giving fans the choice of how they access the films. And while the initial launch did not feature every Bond title, the four that are not currently available — “Dr. No,” “From Russia With Love,” “Goldfinger,” and “Spectre” — are joining Pluto TV on Dec. 1.

While their availability on Pluto TV means they’ll be free to stream, fans will have to watch ads with any Bond film they choose to watch on the service. The series will not be exclusive to Pluto during its run on the free streamer; however, fans can watch any Bond movie on Prime Video with no ads for $12 per month.

Pluto TV announced it would add more holiday content from BET in October, and it continues to augment its library ahead of Thanksgiving. The streamer will soon have every single James Bond movie available to stream free, and already has a big selection of the titles ready to stream.

Pluto TV

Pluto TV is a free streaming service backed by Paramount that offers a traditional cable-like channel surfing experience. The service offers hundreds of free round-the-clock channels, including classics like “Star Trek,” “The Twilight Zone,” and “The Price is Right.”

…

Rather than attempting to carry expensive local broadcast affiliates or high-profile live sports leagues, the lineup leans heavily into curated thematic programming. You will find dedicated channels cycling non-stop episodes of many classic TV shows, alongside niche feeds for anime, true crime, classic sitcoms, and live headline news loops from outlets like CBS News. Alongside the live grid, there is also a hefty on-demand vault filled with older Hollywood catalog films, cult classics, and complete archived series.

Because Pluto TV mirrors linear broadcast television, you cannot pause or fast-forward through commercial breaks, nor is there a cloud DVR feature to record airings for later viewing. That said, it’s a great alternative for those looking for a wide range of channels without subscription fees.
