The return of Genius will allow Apple TV owners to browse content from across multiple streaming services to find something new to watch.

The streaming content pipeline is packed these days, no matter which services you subscribe to. That can make content discovery a real challenge, and it’s already hard enough to try to find a new TV show or movie to try without being presented with new options essentially every day. Apple is stepping in to help owners of its Apple TV 4K streaming players make content discovery easier with the launch of its new Genius Browse feature.

Apple will roll out its tvOS 26.4 update in the coming weeks, and Genius Browse will be included in the new version of the software. It’s a content discovery tool designed to make it easier to find shows and movies that might be buried under the never-ending stream of new releases from top on-demand services.

Apple TV 4K owners will find the Genius Browse tile row on the device’s home screen. Images shared by 9to5 Mac show that the row has categories like Clever Capers, Good for Date Night, Thrilling Sports Stories, and more. Clicking on one of these categories pulls up a row of titles Apple thinks will fit the chosen descriptor.

When browsing through this top row of options, Genius Browse will surface a second row of titles that are similar to the one being highlighted. Moving left and right in the top row will change the recommendations in the bottom row to fit the chosen show or movie above.

The Genius Browse feature will surface recommendations from multiple streaming services all in one place, including Apple TV. Disney+, HBO Max, Peacock, Prime Video, and others. It does not support Netflix titles, but is still a handy aggregation tool to have available.

The tvOS 26.4 beta is available now, so any Apple TV 4K owners who want to try Genius Browse can do so by downloading the update. If you can wait, the tvOS 26.4 update will launch to all Apple TV 4K devices soon, and will bring the Genius Browse feature along with it.
