Audible is launching a new Standard plan for $9 per month.

Attention, audiobook lovers! Audible, which has a catalog spanning every subject under the sun, has a new subscription tier for subscribers to consider. Launching on Tuesday, Audible’s new Standard plan checks in at a price 40% lower than the Premium Plus subscription tier, and has a list of fantastic benefits to offer in addition to a lower price. If you love audiobooks, but have been hesitant to subscribe to Audible because of the price, this might just be the news you’ve been waiting for.

The Audible Standard plan costs $9 per month and allows customers to choose one audiobook per month from the streamer’s library of over 1 million titles. Customers can keep and listen to that book for as long as they are an Audible member, and subscribers get to listen to unlimited podcasts as well, including Audible Originals like Kerry Washington’s “The Prophecy,” and nearly 200 popular titles previously found on Wondery+.

The plan comes with a 30-day free trial as well. It’s perfect for those who really like to concentrate on a single book at a time, since the Standard plan does not offer as much free access to the Audible library as other subscription options do. The Standard plan is launching in the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.

“The launch of our Standard plan reflects Audible’s ongoing commitment to serving the diverse preferences and listening habits of story-lovers everywhere,” Audible executive Cynthia Chu said. “By expanding our membership options, we’re maximizing access for lighter listeners while enabling publishers and creators to reach new audiences—a win-win that grows the entire audiobook category.”

Customers who want to upgrade for even more Audible access can choose the Premium Plus plan, which costs $15 per month. This plan allows customers to keep the audiobooks they purchase with a credit, even if they cancel their subscription. Exclusive sales and discounts are also available to Premium Plus subscribers, and the plan comes with 150,000+ included audiobooks and podcasts as well.
