The only thing Tara and I love more than a great comedy TV show is a great comedy TV show you can binge. Something you can count on to make you laugh without worrying you’re going to run out of episodes. That’s what this article is all about: comedy shows on Apple TV that you can throw on and live inside for a while. Every series here has multiple seasons, real momentum, and a run that feels complete. If you’re looking to settle in for a few weeks, these are the best binge-worthy comedy TV shows to get lost in on Apple TV.

Best binge-worthy comedy shows streaming on Apple TV

Best feel-good binge: ‘Ted Lasso’

“Ted Lasso” is one of my favorite comedy shows of all time. What starts out as this very silly fish-out-of-water sports comedy quietly turns into something way more heartfelt. Jason Sudeikis plays an American football coach hired to run an English soccer team, which sounds like a goofy setup, but the show almost immediately shifts into being about people. How they lead. How they screw up. And ultimately, how they grow when someone actually believes in them. Over three seasons, AFC Richmond becomes a real place filled with characters you genuinely care about.

Yes, Apple TV has since decided to keep going with a Season 4, but this stretch (Seasons 1-3) absolutely works as a full meal. And as a binge, it’s just a pleasure. Episodes fly by as you watch Ted slowly shift from being the relentlessly upbeat outsider into someone who finally has to confront his own stuff. Along the way, Rebecca moves from quietly using Ted as a pawn to becoming one of his closest and most genuine allies. Roy and Keeley start as a surprising fling, then settle into a relationship that actually grows, strains, and changes in believable ways.

Jamie’s journey takes him from the team’s selfish problem child to someone you unexpectedly find yourself rooting for. Even Nate’s arc, as frustrating as it can be, feels purposeful and earned when you watch the story play out straight through. And all the way through, the humor stays warm, funny, and most importantly, hopeful. That’s why I keep coming back.

Best mystery binge: ‘The Afterparty’

“The Afterparty” is as inventive as it is funny. Each season revolves around a murder, and every episode retells the same night from a different suspect’s point of view. The fun twist is that each retelling is done in a totally different genre. One episode is a rom-com, the next is a noir, or an action movie or musical. It sounds chaotic, but it all totally clicks.

This one is dangerously bingeable because of the mystery at the center. Not only is it fun to try to put the pieces of the puzzle together, but you also get a fresh comedic tone every episode, so it never gets stale. Plus, the performances are crazy good, with Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Ben Schwartz, and Dave Franco stealing the show in Season 1. It only went two seasons, but both are worth watching. If you’re looking for a bingeable comedy on Apple TV with a murder-mystery twist, don’t miss it.

Nothing is as it seems in this hilarious murder mystery where each suspect’s story is told through a different film genre.

Best workplace binge: ‘Mythic Quest’

“Mythic Quest” is a workplace comedy set inside a video game studio, and it really understands creative dysfunction. The show follows the team behind a massive online game as they juggle egos, deadlines, bad ideas, worse ideas, and the constant fear of becoming irrelevant. It’s very funny on the surface, but it’s also clearly made by people who understand what it’s like to work on something you care way too much about.

This one binges so well because the office dynamics are clear almost immediately. You instantly understand who Ian Grimm is as the ego-fueled creative tyrant, who Poppy Li is as the brilliant engineer constantly fighting to be heard, and how David Brittlesbee is desperately trying to keep the whole place from imploding. As the seasons go on, those relationships start to shift in really satisfying ways. Ian and Poppy move from pure chaos to a strange, co-dependent creative partnership. David slowly finds a backbone. Brad’s manipulation gets sharper and more unsettling.

The show has this great habit of making you laugh and then, out of nowhere, hitting on ambition, insecurity, and burnout in ways that feel uncomfortably real. It ran four seasons and wraps cleanly, even if they had to revise the series finale after the show was canceled. Check it out.

Meet the team behind the biggest multiplayer video game of all time. But in a workplace focused on building worlds, molding heroes, and creating legends, the most hard-fought battles don’t occur in the game—they happen in the office.

Best historical binge: ‘Dickinson’

“Dickinson” is a period comedy that somehow never feels old or stuffy. It tells the story of Emily Dickinson as a restless, ambitious young woman trapped in a world that keeps telling her to behave. The show mixes nineteenth-century settings with modern language, music, and attitude, which gives it this really fun, rebellious energy.

As a binge, it works because everything moves fast while staying emotionally locked in. The episodes are short, but the relationships carry real weight. Watching Emily push against her family, especially her complicated dynamic with her father Edward, gives the show its tension, while her bond with Sue deepens and shifts in ways that feel both romantic and painful as the seasons go on. Austin’s loyalty gets tested, friendships stretch and strain, and Emily’s ambition keeps colliding with the limits placed on her.

The show leans hard into desire, frustration, and creative restlessness without ever dragging things out. It’s only three seasons, but it’s got a real ending and a tone that stays fresh the entire way through.
