Try this budget bundle to stream British mystery shows
If you’re a big Anglophile, this bundle will allow you to watch beloved British mystery series for less than $25 per month.
Ever since the days of Sherlock Holmes, audiences have been fascinated by the British mystery and detective genre. British content producers have been happy to oblige this appetite, and have churned out some titillating and engrossing titles throughout the years.
Many of the best British TV mysteries are now available to stream on-demand, but it can be hard to know where, and harder still to fit the streaming services necessary into your budget. But we’ve assembled a bundle of four streamers that will allow you to stream British mysteries for less than $25 per month; check it out below!
What’s the best streaming bundle for watching British mysteries?
BritBox
This bundle starts with BritBox, which offers a great selection of British mystery shows. It has titles like “Father Brown,” “Inspector Morse,” “Vera,” originals like the “Sister Boniface Mysteries,” and so many other choices in the genre that I don’t have space to list them all here.
BritBox streams are completely ad-free and cost $9 per month. The service can be subscribed to as a standalone option, or you can watch it through the Amazon Prime Video platform as well.
Cost of BritBox: $9 per month
PBS Masterpiece
Next on our list is PBS Masterpiece, which will allow you to watch shows like the young Inspector Morse show “Endeavour,” “DI Ray,” “Sherlock” featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, and other selections from PBS Masterpiece Theater.
There are actually a couple of ways to get PBS Masterpiece. Our favorite is to sign up via Amazon Prime Video for $6 per month, so you can track your subscription more easily. However, you can also sign up for a PBS Passport subscription, and choose your donation level, starting at $5 monthly.
Cost of PBS Masterpiece: $6 per month
Netflix
Finally, we’ll turn to a streamer that many readers might already have: Netflix. This service carries TV shows like “Criminal: United Kingdom,” “Traitors,” and movies such as “7 Women and a Murder,” “In For a Murder,” and many others.
Netflix’s ad-supported plan starts at $8 per month. This bundle adds a huge library of content to the already formidable selections. You’ll also find much more than just British TV to enjoy on Netflix.
Cost of ad-supported Netflix: $8 per month
Tubi
Finally, Tubi will let you watch each and every season of “Midsomer Murders,” the movie “Candlestick,” and the BritBox Mysteries free streaming channel, just to name a few options. You never need a credit card to watch Tubi, though if you do create an account with a username and password, the streamer will keep track of your viewing history for you.
