Best shows to watch on DIRECTV for the rest of September 2025:
‘Futurama’ Season 13 | FXX
I’ve been watching “Futurama” since middle school, so diving into Season 13 feels like a reunion. Fry, Leela, and Bender are back in New New York with 10 brand-new episodes. Hulu drops the whole season on Monday, Sept. 15, but if you’d rather watch on live TV, FXX is rolling out two episodes every Monday night. Both FXX and Hulu are included in the DIRECTV MyEnterainment package. “Futurama” brings the same mix of sci-fi gags, emotional punches, and jokes that still land whether you’re a teen or grown-up.
Futurama
The adventures of a late-20th-century New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who, after being unwittingly cryogenically frozen for one thousand years, finds employment at Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery company in the retro-futuristic 31st century.
‘High Potential’ Season 2 | ABC
“High Potential” scratches that cozy procedural itch. Morgan, a single mom with a genius-level IQ, teams up with a detective to solve tricky cases. Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16 on ABC with 18 episodes lined up. Expect new mysteries every week, plenty of twists, and those sharp back-and-forth interrogation scenes that make the show so fun.
High Potential
Morgan is a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.
‘Reasonable Doubt’ Season 3 | Hulu
“Reasonable Doubt” nails the messy lawyer drama vibe. Jax Stewart is back for Season 3, trying to balance complicated cases with her even more complicated personal life. Hulu, which is included in DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment genre package, drops the first two episodes on Thursday, Sept. 18, with weekly episodes after that. If you like sharp courtroom battles and characters who make questionable choices, this one’s for you.
Reasonable Doubt
In this legal drama, you’ll judge Jax Stewart for her questionable ethics and wild interpretations of the law… until you’re the one in trouble. Then you’ll see her for what she is: the most brilliant and fearless defense attorney in Los Angeles who bucks the justice system at every chance she gets.
‘The Couple Next Door’ Season 2 | Starz
Season 2 of “The Couple Next Door” premieres Friday, Sept. 19 on Starz, which is available in DIRECTV’s Premier tier. This new six-episode chapter shifts to an anthology format, centering on Charlotte, a heart surgeon, and her husband Jacob, an anesthetist whose perfect suburban life starts to fracture when a new nurse named Mia enters their orbit. As their marriage unravels and a string of suspicious patient deaths shakes the hospital, this quiet domestic drama transforms into a full-on psychological thriller.
The Couple Next Door
Evie and Pete move into an upscale neighborhood and find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. They find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka, but after Danny and Evie share a passionate night together there is trouble ahead.
‘The Voice’ Season 26 | NBC
There’s just something about “The Voice” that never gets old. Season 26 kicks off Monday, Sept. 22 on NBC, and the lineup of coaches is as much a draw as the singers hitting the stage. It’s that perfect mix of heartwarming backstories, unexpected song choices, and those big chair-turn moments that still give me goosebumps. This is my reality TV comfort food.
The Voice
The strongest vocalists from across the United states compete in a blockbusters vocal competition, the winner becomes “The Voice.” The show’s innovative format features four stages of competition: the blind auditions, the battle rounds, the knockouts and, finally, the live performance shows.
‘Brilliant Minds’ Season 2 | NBC
“Brilliant Minds” returns Monday, Sept. 22 at 10 p.m. on NBC, with episodes streaming the next day on Peacock. The show centers on Dr. Oliver Wolf, a brilliant but eccentric neurologist who has face blindness, meaning he can’t recognize even the people closest to him. That condition gives him a really unique way of looking at his patients, and it’s what drives him to push for better, more compassionate care.

“Murder in a Small Town” is back Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. Karl Alberg (Rossif Sutherland) and Cassandra Lee (Kristin Kreuk) are tackling bigger cases this season — everything from a wedding-day body to a pop star’s stalker — while trying to figure out their own relationship. With Cassandra running for town council and Marcia Gay Harden stepping in as the town’s tough new mayor, the small-town drama feels just as juicy as the crimes.

‘The Lowdown’ | FX
Ethan Hawke stars in “The Lowdown,” a noir set in 1960s Hollywood. It premieres Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. on FX, with Hulu streaming the next day. Hawke plays a washed-up private eye pulled into studio intrigue and crime, and his weary edge and the vintage Hollywood setting give this one a cool retro feel.

Follow the gritty exploits of citizen journalist Lee Raybon, a self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble.
‘The Golden Bachelor’ Season 2 | ABC
“The Golden Bachelor” comes back Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC with Mel Owens as the new Golden Bachelor. After nearly three decades, the show still knows how to keep you glued to the screen.

‘The Simpsons’ Season 37 | Fox
“The Simpsons” keeps on going, with Season 37 kicking off Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. on Fox. Springfield still finds new ways to be funny after all these years, and with “Bob’s Burgers” and “Krapopolis” in the lineup, Fox’s Sunday animation block is a solid night of comedy.
The Simpsons
Set in Springfield, the average American town, the show focuses on the antics and everyday adventures of the Simpson family; Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie, as well as a virtual cast of thousands. Since the beginning, the series has been a pop culture icon, attracting hundreds of celebrities to guest star. The show has also made name for itself in its fearless satirical take on politics, media and American life in general.
“The Simpsons” was ranked the best sitcom of all time by Rolling Stone in 2021.
If you’ve never seen it, “The Simpsons Movie” pulled together some of the series’ best writers for a wild ride.
‘Bob’s Burgers’ Season 16 | Fox
“Bob’s Burgers” is back Sunday, Sept. 28 at 9:30 p.m. ET on Fox for its 16th season. The Belcher family is doing what they do best — serving up puns, awkward family moments, and bizarre side gigs. This season also hits a milestone: episode 300, so yes, there are big celebrations baked in. If you love a consistent laugh from a genuinely weird family, this one won’t disappoint.
Bob’s Burgers
Bob’s Burgers follows a third-generation restaurateur, Bob, as he runs Bob’s Burgers with the help of his wife and their three kids. Bob and his quirky family have big ideas about burgers, but fall short on service and sophistication. Despite the greasy counters, lousy location and a dearth of customers, Bob and his family are determined to make Bob’s Burgers “grand re-re-re-opening” a success.
‘Chad Powers’ | Hulu
“Chad Powers” is a comedy about a disgraced college quarterback going undercover as a college walk-on. Glenn Powell co-created and stars, and the first two episodes dropped Tuesday, Sept. 30 on Hulu, which you can get for free with DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment genre package. New eps drop weekly, following his antics as he hides his identity and tries to relive his glory days. It’s goofy, self-aware, and perfect if you like your sports comedies on the absurd side.
