NBA League Pass has two main ways of subscribing; here's how to do it either way.

The 2025-26 NBA season is almost here! The season tips off on Tuesday, Oct. 21, and as per usual this season, all out-of-market NBA games will stream on NBA League Pass. This service lets viewers stream the out-of-market, non-national games of just one team if they wish, or they can choose to stream the out-of-market contests of every team in the league if they wish.

This year, there have been some changes to the way customers sign up for NBA League Pass, however. The league has a new deal with Amazon, which is now the sole third-party distributor of NBA League Pass. That means streamers like Fubo and other platforms that used to offer League Pass cannot do so any longer.

There are now just two ways to sign up for NBA League Pass: through the league itself and through Prime Video. We’ll show you how to do it either way below!

How to sign up for NBA League Pass through Prime Video

If you’re a Prime Video subscriber, you can sign up for NBA League Pass and keep the bill tied to your Amazon subscription. That makes it a lot easier to keep track of, and you can watch games directly through the Prime Video app instead of having to download a new app. You can choose from three subscription options with NBA League Pass on Prime Video: League Pass, with all out-of-market games for $17 per month; League Pass Premium, which allows up to three concurrent streams and in-arena streams instead of commercials for $25 per month; or Team Pass that unlocks just one team’s out-of-market games for $14 per month. Annual plans of these options are also available, at $110 per year for League Pass or $160 for League Pass Premium.

Sign up for NBA League Pass through Prime Video here and keep your bills all in the same place, and watch out-of-market games all season long. To sign up:

  1. Sign in to your Prime Video account.
  2. Click here to get NBA League Pass.
  3. Choose your plan.
  4. Pick your favorite team if choosing Team Pass.
  5. Click monthly or annual, and then Start NBA League Pass free trial.

Prime Video

Prime Video is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 10,000+ movies, TV shows, and Prime Originals like “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “Jack Ryan,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “The Boys,” and more. Prime Video is included with Amazon Prime for $14.99 per month ($139 per year), or can be purchased on its own for $8.99 per month. A standalone, ad-supported version costs $8.99 per month, while the upgraded Prime Video Ultra tier, costing an extra $4.99 per month or $45.99 per year, adds Dolby Atmos support, ups video quality to 4K UHD, removes ads, and allows for 100 downloads and 5 simultaneous streams. Prime Video offers a 30-day free trial.

Prime Video currently offers over 25,000 movies and TV episodes, many of which are original productions. Live sports coverage includes NFL Thursday Night Football as well as select NBA, WNBA, and NWSL events.

How to sign up for NBA League Pass through the NBA

Viewers can also sign up for League Pass directly through the NBA, which allows viewers to pay the same prices they can access on Amazon. The League Pass annual plan for $110 per season, and the League Pass Premium annual subscription for $160 per year are the best values, but the annual plans of those subscriptions still cost $17 or $25, respectively. To get your subscription directly through the NBA:

  1. Click here to get NBA League Pass.
  2. Scroll down, and click monthly or annual plans.
  3. Click Subscribe next to the plan you want.
  4. Create an NBA account, or log into yours.
  5. Enter payment details and finish signing up.

NBA League Pass

For passionate basketball aficionados, NBA League Pass stands as the premier destination for immersing yourself in the thrilling world of professional basketball. It offers unparalleled flexibility, allowing you to meticulously follow every move of your favorite team throughout the season or broaden your horizons to catch every game played across the entire league. It’s important to note that, due to broadcasting rights, blackout restrictions may apply to games that are televised locally or aired on national channels.

…

The beauty of NBA League Pass lies in its customizable nature; prices and the suite of available features can vary significantly, ensuring you can select a subscription tier that perfectly aligns with your viewing habits and budget. Whether you’re a casual observer or a hardcore stat-head, there’s likely a package designed for you.

Beyond simply streaming games, a subscription unlocks a richer, more interactive viewing experience. You’ll typically gain access to both the Home and Away team broadcasts, giving you the freedom to choose which commentary team you prefer. For those watching on the move, the Mobile View feature ensures an optimized, high-quality stream on your smartphone or tablet. Furthermore, NBA League Pass often caters to a global audience, with broadcasts available in additional languages, and provides diverse perspectives through multiple camera angles, letting you see the game in new ways.

One of the most compelling enhancements is the integration of in-stream advanced statistics. This means while you’re absorbed in the action, you can instantly pull up detailed box scores, track live player performance metrics, and analyze team statistics without ever needing to navigate away from the live game stream. This seamless access to data keeps you fully informed and engaged with every facet of the on-court drama.

The NBA offers three plans “Team Pass” ($13.99), which provide great options if you only want to follow a single team.

“League Pass” ($16.99) lets you see every game across the entire league.

The “League Pass Premium” ($24.99) plan allows watching on 3 devices without commercials.

You can also save by subscribing to the full season. It’s $89.99 / year for the Team Pass, $109.99 / year for the League Pass, or $159.99 / year for League Pass Premium.

NBA League Pass is also available as an Amazon Prime Video channel.
