The [University of North Carolina Tarheels] may not be in the equation for the 2024-25 College Football Playoff, but that could be changing in a big way in future years. Legendary NFL coach Bill Belichick is headed to Chapel Hill to take over head coaching duties for the Tarheels, and with that in mind, we want to make sure fans of the school, or of rival schools in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) know how to stream its football games going forward!

Everything you need to know about streaming ACC football without cable

When does Bill Belichick start coaching for UNC?

Belichick shocked the football world on Wednesday when he agreed to move to the college football world. Most analysts thought the next job he took would be with another professional football team, but his reputation and the way he likes to run essentially all aspects of a team may have prevented NFL teams from having interest in this cycle.

Belichick will take over the duties of a coach immediately, but because UNC’s 2024 football season is over, fans won’t see him on the sideline until the opening week of 2025.

What teams are in the ACC?

The ACC has 17 football teams: The Boston College Eagles, California Golden Bears, Clemson Tigers, Duke Blue Devils, Florida State Seminoles, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, Louisville Cardinals, Miami Hurricanes, NC State Wolfpack, UNC Tarheels, Pittsburgh Panthers, SMU Mustangs, Stanford Cardinal, Syracuse Orange, Virginia Cavaliers, Virginia Tech Hokies, and Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Where does the ACC play?

The ACC plays its games on ESPN, the ACC Network, The CW and the ESPN+ streaming service. Each outlet gets games from the conference every season, and it’s a good bet that UNC will play on all of them at different points of the season in 2025.

Which live TV streaming services allow you to stream ACC football?

Best pick: Hulu + Live TV

Hulu + Live TV is our favorite way to watch ACC football without a cable subscription. It’s got all the channels you need to watch in its base channel package, and at the $83-per-month subscription level fans also get access to ESPN+ at no extra charge as part of the Disney Bundle. Hulu + Live TV also comes with a three-day free trial, so you’ll know if it’s the right fit for you before having to pay.

Runner-up: Fubo

Fubo slips into the number two spot on this list thanks to the introduction of its new Essential plan. This channel package starts at $80 per month, and doesn’t include regional sports networks, so there’s no need to pay the $15-per-month RSN fee it charges. It too carries ACC Network, The CW, and ESPN in most major markets, so you don’t have to pay for any add-ons other than ESPN+ to get the channels you need.

Great choice for TV lovers: DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM is an excellent way to stream ACC football in 2025 and beyond. It carries The CW in a wide range of markets, and offers ESPN everywhere. The ACC Network is available in the streamer’s CHOICE package starting at $115 per month, and if that price seems a bit rich, just remember you’ll get more of The Streamable’s top 35 cable channels with this package than you will with any other streamer on this list! DIRECTV STREAM also comes with a five-day free trial for new subscribers.

Good budget choice: Sling TV

Sling TV plans are rising in price to $46 per month on Dec. 20, but even so, the streamer is a good budget-friendly option for streaming ACC football. ESPN is available in the Orange plan, but fans will need to grab the Sports Extra add-on for another $11 per month to watch ACC Network. The CW is also not available on Sling, but you can grab an over-the-air antenna for a one-time purchase price and get local networks like The CW, ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC for no monthly charge.

Last pick: YouTube TV

By the time the 2025 college football season rolls around, YouTube TV will cost $83 per month. It carries ACC Network, ESPN, and The CW in its base plan in most areas around the country, but it doesn’t bundle any free streamers into its price. It also doesn’t have the same free trial for all new subscribers, which is why it’s in the tail-end position here.
