Can You Watch Monday Night Football with ESPN+? Everything You Need to Know

ESPN+ is a great streaming service for all sports fans, but can you watch Monday Night Football? The answer is yes… but not for all Monday games. We’ll explain.

Monday Night Football typically airs on ESPN, though some games appear on ABC, and the “Manningcast” sometimes appears on ESPN2. Those are traditional TV channels. You can watch them on DIRECTV STREAM, Fubo, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV or YouTube TV.

In 2024, ESPN+ is home to one exclusive game: the Week 7 Chargers at Cardinals game. You will need ESPN+ if you want to watch that game because it won’t be broadcast on traditional TV.

ESPN+ also simulcasts several MNF games, but not all.

What is ESPN+?

ESPN+ is a video streaming service offering thousands of live sporting events, along with some programming from ESPN, “30 for 30” documentaries, archived games, reality shows, and sports talk shows.

ESPN+ is not a channel. You cannot watch it as a channel with a cable service or live TV streamer. It’s a standalone service, kind of like Netflix for sports.

How Much Does ESPN+ Cost?

ESPN+ is $10.99/month if you buy it on its own.

Another option is to choose the Disney Bundle, which offers a better value. That package combines ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu on demand. You’ll get all three streamers for $16.99 with ads or $26.99 ad-free.

Another option is to cut the cord, ditch cable, and sign up for Hulu Live TV as your TV provider. When you do that, you get ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu on-demand for free.

Hulu Live TV gives you 33 of the top 35 cable channels, along with local channels. Sports fans can watch ESPN, along with 7 regional sports channels and 7 college-specific channels. It’s the best value in live TV.
