Can You Watch The 2024 NBA Finals Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks on Max?
Can You Watch The 2024 NBA Finals Boston Celtics vs. Dallas Mavericks on Max?
The 2024 NBA Finals tip off on Thursday, June 6 with the Boston Celtics taking on the Dallas Mavericks from TD Garden in Boston at 8:30 p.m. ET. The Celtics are coming off a sweep of the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals, while the Mavs beat the Minnesota Timberwolves four games to one in the West. You can watch every game of the NBA Finals exclusively on ABC.
Unfortunately, the 2024 NBA Finals will not appear on Max this year. While Max did carry NBA Playoff games that appeared on TNT, TruTV and TBS, the NBA Finals will not appear here as ABC has the exclusive broadcast. It’s still a solid service though, especially since Max announced that it won't begin charging users to watch the Bleacher Report add on for quite some time. But for watching the 2024 NBA Finals between the Celitcs and Mavs, you’ll need to check out other options.
To watch the 2024 NBA Finals, you’ll need a live TV streaming service that carries ABC. You’ll find The Streamable’s advice on which one to choose below!

Best Choice for Watching 2024 NBA Finals: Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV is our favorite way to watch the 2024 NBA Finals, especially now that it offers a three-day free trial. And with plans starting at $76.99 per month, you can save a little bit of money by going with this service. Not only does it carry ABC to watch the 2024 NBA Finals, but it also includes Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu in the price, which is a $14.99 monthly value. That makes Hulu + Live TV too good of a bargain to ignore for those who can’t resist the blend of entertainment and value.
Good Alternative With Loads of Top Channels: DIRECTV STREAM
DIRECTV STREAM is a great second choice for watching the 2024 NBA Finals if Hulu + Live TV isn’t right for you. It comes with a great offer for new subscribers: $25 off per month for their first two months of service. Plus, it carries ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC in all plans in most markets, and you can upgrade to fuller channel packages if you want even more. DIRECTV STREAM has all 35 of The Streamable’s top cable channels available, and it’s a supreme choice for watching all of this year’s big television events.
Great Choice for Sports Fans: Fubo
Fubo plans start at $94.99 per month, once you factor in the regional sports network (RSN) fee that most customers have to pay. It carries ABC and includes a free trial, the length of which depends on what time of month you subscribe to the service. Especially good for sports fans is that the RSN fee will give you access to NBA, NHL, and MLB regular season games in many markets, and Fubo also carries NFL Network for football fans.
Last Option: YouTube TV
YouTube TV plans start at $72.99 per month, and it carries ABC to stream the 2024 NBA Finals. What it doesn’t offer is a wide selection of RSNs, a standardized free trial, or free streaming services bundled into the price, which is why we place it last on our list.
Can You Watch The 2024 NBA Finals on Sling TV?
That depends. Sling TV offers ABC in its Blue plan in eight major markets across the country: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Houston, Raleigh-Durham, and Fresno. So if you live near one of these cities, you can watch with a subscription to Sling TV. But if not, you should explore some of our other recommended options.
