The wait is almost over, golf enthusiasts. The first round of The Masters will begin at 1 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 9, and continue through the weekend. As in past years, CBS and ESPN platforms will share broadcasting duties for linear coverage of the tournament.

But last September, Prime Video snagged the rights to stream early coverage of the first two rounds of The Masters on Thursday and Friday. That adds a new wrinkle for fans who are trying to watch the tournament — particularly if they want to use DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack to watch it. Can you watch all CBS and ESPN coverage of The Masters on DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack?

Yes! DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack carries CBS in almost all American TV markets, and it offers ESPN to subscribers nationwide, as part of its package of 20+ sports and news channels overall. All coverage of The Masters airing on these channels will be available to DIRECTV MySports customers.

In addition, viewers will be able to watch featured groups and other feeds of The Masters being offered on the ESPN App with a DIRECTV MySports subscription. That’s because MySports includes a bonus subscription to ESPN Unlimited, so all extra Masters coverage found there is available.

Can you watch The Masters on Prime Video with DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack?

You will need an additional subscription to Prime Video to watch 100% of The Masters in 2026. Having DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack won’t get you a Prime Video account, so the first two hours of the first and second rounds of the tournament will be unavailable on the DIRECTV service.

How much does Prime Video cost?

Prime Video’s coverage of The Masters is available on its ad-supported and ad-free plans. The ad plan costs $9 per month, or customers can pay $5 more to upgrade to ad-free (starting April 10). Alternatively, viewers can enjoy Prime Video as a benefit of the Amazon Prime service, which costs $15 per month.

Is DIRECTV’s MySports Genre Pack offering any deals?

If you’re worried about being able to afford the DIRECTV MySports Genre Pack and Prime Video for watching The Masters, I’ve got good news. MySports normally costs $65 per month, but for a limited time, new subscribers can get the service for $45 per month for their first two months of service.
