CBS, ESPN, ION, Prime Video announce 2025 WNBA game schedules
Each outlet will get several games featuring Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.
Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, A’ja Wilson, and other WNBA superstars are returning to screens around the United States soon. The 2025 WNBA season begins on Friday, May 16, and this season will be the league’s last campaign with current media partners CBS, ESPN, ION, and Prime Video. Two of those outlets — ESPN and Prime Video — have unveiled their schedules for the 2025 WNBA season.
Key Details:
- ESPN broadcasts of WNBA games begin on May 17 and Prime Video’s start on May 22.
- Prime Video will be the exclusive home of the Commissioner’s Cup Championship game once again.
- Next season, WNBA broadcasts shift to ESPN, Prime Video, and NBC.
ESPN will air WNBA games across several platforms, including the ESPN linear channel, ESPN Deportes, ABC, ESPN+, and Disney+. Games marked for Disney+ will be available to stream there for all customers of the service, whether or not they subscribe to ESPN+. Broadcasts of WNBA games on ESPN platforms start on May 17.
Prime Video broadcasts of WNBA games will begin on May 22. The streamer will continue to be the exclusive home of the 2025 Commissioner’s Cup Championship Game. It will also present seven doubleheaders, and six Indiana Fever games, so there will be plenty of Caitlin Clark to see on the service. In addition, Prime Video will offer three games showcasing the newest WNBA team, the Golden State Valkyries.
The Fever will play 10 games across ESPN platforms, which will also carry Golden State Valkyrie contests. ESPN will also carry the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game on July 19, and will carry up to 29 games of the 2025 WNBA playoffs when the regular season ends.
CBS will offer eight WNBA games this season, and CBS Sports Network will carry a total of 12 more. CBS will provide coverage of the first-ever WNBA regular season games on broadcast television channels in primetime. Any WNBA games on the CBS broadcast channel can also be watched with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME plan of Paramount+.
ION will offer 50 regular season WNBA games this season, the most of any single outlet. You can also watch doubleheaders on Friday nights with ION throughout the 2025 regular season.
You can check out the schedule of 2025 WNBA schedule below. This could be the last year the WNBA appears on CBS and ION; next year, WNBA rights shift to NBC, Prime Video, and ESPN, though more game inventory could still be sold to other outlets.
