Although not available in North America, NHL.TV is a fantastic way for global NHL fans to access games.
The 2025-26 NHL season is still a couple of months off, but there is good news for global fans of the league who are worried about access to games. On Tuesday, the NHL announced a new partnership with the sports streaming service DAZN, which will begin distributing NHL.TV in almost 200 countries around the world before the upcoming season starts.

The deal will allow DAZN to bring a huge selection of NHL games to viewers around the world. NHL.TV offers live and on-demand coverage of every NHL game, including the playoffs. It’s important to note, however, that select games in certain countries are still subject to blackout restrictions and won’t become available to watch until the live game ends.
Viewers will be able to sign up for a standalone NHL.TV subscriptions through DAZN, or to bundle it with existing DAZN subscription plans. In 2024, a subscription to NHL.TV in the United Kingdom costs £15 per month, so viewers can expect a similar price to carry over when the service migrates to DAZN this season.
“DAZN’s landmark agreement with the NHL is a significant step forward in our mission to deliver the most exciting sports action to fans across the globe,” DAZN Group CEO Shay Segev said. “We’re excited to bring a premium North American sports property to a broad international audience through an innovative, accessible, and immersive viewing experience. The NHL.TV platform isn’t available in the United States, Canada, or the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Norway, or Sweden. Domestically, viewers can watch out-of-market NHL games on ESPN+, and in-market games are found on a variety of regional sports networks.
“The NHL is a global League, and with 30 percent of our Players born outside of North America, engaging our international fans is a significant priority,” NHL COO Steve McArdle said. “Media distribution is at the core of our global strategy, and we are thrilled to partner with DAZN to continue to expand our global reach and engage with our fast-growing international fan base.
