DAZN launches NHL.TV in more than 200 countries
International viewers will be able to watch a wide selection of NHL games with the launch of the service.
DAZN has a huge selection of major sports around the world, including NFL and NBA games, and a lot more. Just weeks ago, the streamer agreed to a new deal with ESPN to sublicense a selection of college football games, proving that the streamer is always on the lookout for the next marquee event to add. DAZN has now launched its next big-name property, having acquired the rights to stream NHL.TV in a variety of markets.
Key Details:
- Around the world: Viewers in nearly 200 countries can now watch NHL.TV on DAZN.
- Now or later: Fans will be able to watch live and on-demand NHL games with NHL.TV.
- Watch your way: Subscribers will be able to sign up to NHL.TV through DAZN, or add it to a DAZN account.
On Friday, DAZN announced the launch of NHL.TV in almost 200 countries and territories around the world. Hockey fans in the United States and Canada will not be able to watch NHL.TV; in the U.S., NHL games will stream on ABC, ESPN, and TNT nationally, regional sports networks for in-market broadcasts, and NHL Power Play on ESPN+ for out-of-market games.
Outside of these areas, however, fans will be able to use DAZN and NHL.TV to watch every game of the season, including the playoffs. Customers in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland will see some live games blacked out, but most other fans should be able to stream all games of the NHL season live or on demand.
“The launch of NHL.TV on DAZN is a game-changer for hockey fans around the world,” DAZN CEO Shay Segev said. “By combining DAZN’s global platform and technology with the NHL’s world-class product, we’re delivering the ultimate experience to fans – anytime, anywhere.”
DAZN will also expand access to NHL.TV, allowing viewers to watch on over 100 different devices, including smart TVs, gaming consoles, streaming devices, and more. Existing NHL.TV subscribers will be able to watch the service at the same price they enjoyed in 2024.
Audiences will be able to sign up for NHL.TV as a standalone subscription, or to bundle it in with their DAZN account. DAZN subscribers will get to watch one free live game every week in most NHL.TV markets via NHL.TV, and the service will make home and away broadcast feeds available for most games as well.
An enhanced Ultimate Tier of NHL.TV will become available as well, allowing viewers to stream on more devices, use a multiview to watch up to four games at once, and get a one-time 15% discount at the NHL shop online. Fans can sign up now and watch NHL.TV ahead of the 2025-26 NHL regular season start in October.
