Thanks to the partnership between DIRECTV and Curiosity Stream, viewers can now sign up for the Curiosity Stream on-demand service across DIRECTV’s premium content offerings. Prices to Curiosity Stream start at just $5 per month, and all tiers of the documentary streaming service feature ad-free playback.

In addition to distributing the Curiosity Stream on-demand platform, viewers can now watch the free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel Curiosity NOW on MyFree DIRECTV. This channel features round-the-clock history, science, technology, and other programming and joins the dozens of other channels found on MyFree DIRECTV at no cost.

“This is a pivotal moment for Curiosity as we expand our U.S. reach across FAST and SVOD in one comprehensive agreement,” Curiosity Stream VP Jay Sodha said. “DIRECTV’s scale, brand strength, and evolving platform strategy make it the perfect partner to help us deliver smart, inspiring, and entertaining content to viewers wherever they are and however they choose to watch.”

Curiosity Stream offers thousands of excellent documentaries, with categories ranging from food and nature to science, technology, history, and everything in between. Customers who want to watch its library of non-fiction programming can now access that catalog with a DIRECTV subscription, reducing their friction by keeping Curiosity Stream on their monthly DIRECTV bill.
