DIRECTV adds AMC Networks, Hallmark to MyEntertainment pack
The MyEntertainment Genre Pack is getting a great infusion of popular content in time for the holidays.
DIRECTV is continuing its build-out of its genre-themed channel packages, giving viewers yet more options alongside its Signature channel plans. On Thursday, DIRECTV announced that it was adding new networks to the MyEntertainment Genre Pack, bringing more top movies, prestige TV, and a huge selection of holiday titles to the plan.

- Happy Hallmark-days: Hallmark Channel is joining the MyEntertainment package.
- All movies, all the time: AMC Networks have also been added to the plan.
- More options: The MyCinema Mini-Pack is adding Hallmark Mystery and Hallmark Family.
The MyEntertainment package has added the Hallmark Channel, just in time for the beginning of the network’s Countdown to Christmas Event. That will begin on Friday, Oct. 17, and will offer new and original holiday programming for each of the next ten weeks.
Viewers can also watch AMC Networks channels with the MyEntertainment plan, including AMC, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE TV. As part of this agreement, AMC-owned channels are also rolling out on MyFree DIRECTV starting Nov. 18, becoming available to all DIRECTV customers.
“This is the time of year when people want to gather, unwind, and enjoy stories that make them smile,” DIRECTV executive Vince Torres said. “With Hallmark’s beloved holiday movies and AMC’s mix of classics and fan favorites, we’re giving our customers a flexible and affordable way to keep the season’s spirit alive every night.”
In 2026, MyEntertainment customers will also be able to watch AMC+ content on demand with a subscription. AMC+ will also be added to select DIRECTV Signature plans, and Shudder will be added to the MyCinema Mini-Pack add-on without an increase in price for that package.
The MyCinema Mini-Pack will also add Hallmark Mystery and Hallmark Family to its inventory. This add-on normally costs $10 per month on top of the MyEntertainment package, which costs $35 per month by itself and comes with over 50 channels, as well as access to Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max with ads.
DIRECTV will continue to add more content to its Genre Packs, which are a great way to pay for only the content you want and not have to worry about plunking down big percentages of your monthly entertainment budget on shows and movies you don’t want to watch.
