DIRECTV is giving away gift cards and more to celebrate the anniversary of its perks program

There are plenty of reasons to subscribe to a service like DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV via internet if you’re a lover of live TV. Both services offer a mountain of entertainment, news, and sports programming on your favorite channels, but DIRECTV’s loyalty program is another compelling reason. DIRECTV Perks turned one year old on Jan. 31, and to celebrate the satellite and streaming company is giving away hundreds of gift cards, as well as slashing the cost to rent movies from its digital store.

Key Details:

  • DIRECTV Perks is giving away 500 Amazon gift cards for $50 each.
  • Starting Feb. 14, big discounts on movie rentals will also be available.
  • Viewers can also win Fanatics gift cards or one of two autographed San Diego FC jerseys.

There are lots of extras available for DIRECTV Perks customers as it celebrates one year in existence. DIRECTV Perks is free for all customers of a DIRECTV service to use, whether you get your channel package via streaming or through a satellite dish. It allows viewers to accumulate tokens for doing things like paying bills on time, or for staying with DIRECTV for a certain duration.

To start with, DIRECTV will be giving away 500 e-gift cards from Amazon, in the amount of $50. This giveaway will run through Feb. 28, so if you haven’t won yet, keep checking! If you do win, you can treat yourself to a mini shopping spree, courtesy of DIRECTV.

In addition, DIRECTV is providing Perks users big discounts on movie rentals from its transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) store. Normally, a $6 rental will cost you 250 tokens on DIRECTV Perks, but from Feb. 14 to Feb. 21 that price plummets to only 30 tokens. Rentals that are normally $20 (850 tokens) are falling to only 150 tokens during the same week.

There are even more giveaways planned to celebrate the one-year anniversary of DIRECTV Perks, as well. Between Feb. 14 and Feb. 28, 10 members will be eligible to enter a giveaway and win a $25 gift card from Fanatics. Two more winners will get authentic San Diego FC jerseys signed by the entire team; fans can enter to win the jerseys between Feb. 24 and March 31.

DIRECTV’s competitive prices and wide selection of channels are already great perks, but customers of its various services can get even more rewards now. Sign up for DIRECTV Perks if you haven’t already for your chance to win one of the great prizes the company is giving away!
