Can you disable autoplay with Tubi?

You’ll need to create an account with Tubi to adjust autoplay settings, but at least it’s free!

Tubi does have autoplay settings you can adjust from device to device.

Even with the best of free streaming services, such as Tubi, there are always some questions about what kind of features are available. By and large, paid streaming services almost always come with a greater degree of customization and control than free ones do, and even Tubi sometimes has its limits.

If you’re wondering whether or not that extends to Tubi’s autoplay controls, read on. The streamer does have them, but on different devices, they are in different places. Check out our guide to changing autoplay on Tubi here!

Everything you need to know about autoplay on Tubi

Can you change autoplay settings on Tubi?

Yes, but the amount of control you get over these settings is different from device to device. On a computer, you don’t have as many options to change autoplay; you can hide the “Up Next” overlay when a title is ending by selecting “Hide” when it comes up on screen, but that’s about all.

On a connected TV, you can change video preview settings, autostart, and autoplay of the next video in a series.

On a smartphone, you can control autostart and autoplay, but not preview playback settings. You can, however, mute preview videos that play automatically on your phone.

How to turn off autoplay on Tubi

On a non-Roku connected-TV app, scroll to the left-hand menu and go down to the Settings icon. Find a video, then you can adjust any of the three autoplay settings that you find available.

On Roku devices, find the Settings icon in the left-hand menu and tap autoplay controls. Then you can toggle the settings in the menu there.

On an iOS device like an iPhone, tap My Stuff in the bottom-right corner. Locate the Settings icon in the top-right, then select Video to see autoplay settings.

On an Android device, tap My Stuff in the bottom-right corner, then tap Settings. Under Video, select the autoplay settings you want to control.

Do you have to change autoplay on all devices with Tubi?

Yes. While some streamers allow you to change the autoplay setting on one device and have it alter the settings across all other devices, Tubi only adjusts autoplay on the particular device you elect to change it on at a given time. In other words, if you turn off autoplay on your TV with Tubi, it will still be going on your phone.

Can you turn autoplay back on with Tubi?

Definitely. Just go back to the settings menus listed above on your various devices and change the autoplay settings however you’d like them.
