Everything you need to know about ‘Beast Games’

Is there a trailer for ‘Beast Games’?

What is ‘Beast Games’?

“Beast Games” is the unscripted reality show created by James Donaldson, also known by his YouTube alias MrBeast. It features a contestant pool of 1,000 participants, competing against each other in physical, mental, and social challenges. At stake is a chance to win a whopping $5 million dollar cash prize. Week by week, players will use their strength and wit to stay in the game, with the hope of being the multi-million-dollar winner.

Amazon bills “Beast Games” as the biggest reality game show in history, with the largest cash prize of any unscripted series to date. It should be quite a spectacle, as fans of the MrBeast YouTube channel are no doubt anticipating already.

When does ‘Beast Games’ come out?

“Beast Games” is set for release on Prime Video on Thursday, Dec. 19. One new episode will premiere each week after the series premiere.

Is a lawsuit stopping ‘Beast Games’ from coming out?

At this time, there have not been any announcements that the release of “Beast Games” will be affected by a lawsuit against the show. Legal action has been initiated, however; in September, a group of contestants from the show filed a suit alleging that many had been underpaid, subjected to sexual harassment, and had been deprived of sleep, food, and medical care.

Donaldson has tried to assure fans that behind-the-scenes footage will reveal all and that the claims have been blown out of proportion. For the moment, however, the case has not derailed the release schedule of “Beast Games.”

Is ‘Beast Games’ like ‘Squid Game’?

“Beast Games” is meant to resemble many of the challenges featured on the Netflix series “Squid Game.” Viewers will see many of the same types of trials in “Beast Games,” and drawing inspiration from “Squid Game” is likely what caused many contestants to feel as if working conditions were unsafe, or less than ideal.
