What is ‘No Good Deed’ about?

“No Good Deed” is a dark comedy that dives headfirst into the cutthroat world of Los Angeles real estate. At its core, it’s about three families, all desperately vying for the same charming 1920s Spanish-style Los Feliz villa, convinced that owning it will solve all their problems. What they don’t know is that the current owners, Paul and Lydia Morgan—played by Ray Romano and Lisa Kudrow—are equally desperate to sell the house and escape for good.

As the would-be buyers, played by a star-studded cast including Linda Cardellini, Luke Wilson, Teyonah Parris, Abbi Jacobson, and Poppy Liu—get tangled in their quest to buy this perfect house, secrets start to surface, and chaos takes over. Each character is forced to confront not just the competition but their own disordered lives. Set against the glitzy, sometimes ridiculous backdrop of LA’s housing market, “No Good Deed” isn’t just about finding the perfect home—it’s about what happens when ambition, desperation, and a little bit of dysfunction collide.

“No Good Deed” is created by Liz Feldman, known for her hit show, “Dead To Me.” In her new series, Feldman pulls from her own house-hunting adventures to bring her signature mix of comedy and real emotional stakes to the mad world of LA real estate.

  • One Big Happy

    March 17, 2015

Best friends Lizzy (gay and a bit type-A) and Luke (straight and more laid back) are like family. When they were kids and both of their parents were getting divorces, they stuck together, and they’ve been there for each other ever since. Now, all grown up and still single, they’ve decided to start a family of their own. No, not like that (there are some lines even they won’t cross) - we’re talking the non-romantic, go-to-the-doctor’s-office type of baby-making.

  • Dead to Me

    May 3, 2019

A hotheaded widow searching for the hit-and-run driver who mowed down her husband befriends an eccentric optimist who isn’t quite what she seems.
