Everything to know before ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 hits Apple TV+

Everything to know before ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 hits Apple TV+

Deepfakes, AI, and a messy merger set the stage for another explosive season.

With a background in film and branded content, he covers sports and entertainment with sharp insight and creativity. A longtime Oilers fan, he’s still holding out hope for a Stanley Cup run.

I’ve been hooked on “The Morning Show” from the word go. I mean, come on, that first season featured Steve Carell teaming up with Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston for a sharp, behind-the-scenes drama about morning news? I was all in before the first episode even aired. And honestly, this is kind of Apple TV+’s whole deal: take massive talent, throw them into big, complicated stories, and let the sparks fly. Every season has been messy in the best way — full of power plays, bad decisions, and people trying (and failing) to do the right thing. Now with Season 4 dropping Wednesday, Sept. 17, we’re in for another wild ride. Let’s break it all down. Here’s everything to know about “The Morning Show” Season 4.

Everything you need to know about ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4:

When does ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 come on Apple TV+?

“The Morning Show” Season 4 premieres Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, exclusively on Apple TV+. The 10-episode season kicks off with one new episode on premiere day, with fresh episodes dropping weekly every Wednesday through Nov. 19.

Can you watch ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 for free?

Sort of. If you’re new to Apple TV+, you can start with a seven-day free trial — which is enough time to catch the first episode of Season 4 and maybe squeeze in a rewatch of past seasons if you’re quick. But unless you wait until the whole season is out, you’ll need a paid subscription to see it all. The good news? Apple TV+ is still one of the more affordable streamers, with no ads and a flat rate of $10 per month.

Apple TV

Apple TV (formerly known as Apple TV+) is a subscription video streaming service for $14.99 per month, offering a growing slate of original series, films, documentaries, and specials. Unlike other platforms that combine licensed titles with originals, Apple TV is built entirely around exclusive programming, making it the home of critically acclaimed hits such as “Ted Lasso,” “Severance,” “The Morning Show,” and “Silo.” Its lineup continues to expand with award-winning dramas, comedies, family-friendly shows, and blockbuster original films like “CODA,” which won the Academy Award for Best Picture.

…

In October 2025, Apple TV agreed to a deal with Formula 1 to exclusively broadcast all Formula 1 races starting with the 2026 season.

Apple TV also features coverage of all regular-season matches for Major League Soccer (MLS) at no additional cost.

On August 28th, 2026, the price of Apple TV was increased from $12.99 per month to $14.99 per month, the second increase in as many years.

The service is available worldwide through the Apple TV app, which is built into Apple devices and supported on most smart TVs, streaming players like Roku and Fire TV, game consoles, and web browsers. Subscribers can watch on demand, download episodes and movies for offline viewing, and stream in 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, where available. Apple TV also offers family sharing, allowing up to six people to use one subscription at no extra cost.

With a competitive monthly price and bundles available through Apple One — which combines Apple TV with Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud storage, and more — the service continues to grow as a key part of Apple’s ecosystem. Apple TV delivers one of the strongest collections of exclusive content in the streaming space for viewers seeking prestige originals, cinematic storytelling, and seamless access across devices.

What is ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4 about?

Here's everything you need to know about

Season 4 picks up in spring 2024, nearly two years after the chaos of last season. The UBA-NBN merger is officially done, but that doesn’t mean things are settled. Bradley’s got that January 6th footage hanging over her, and no one’s saying whether she’s in jail or just lying low. Alex is facing heat, too, now that her big merger actually happened. She wanted more control, but now she’s got a newsroom full of people wondering who to trust — and whether she’s part of the problem.

The show’s diving deeper into murky territory this year, with storylines about deepfakes, surveillance, and AI blurring the line between truth and fiction. We’ll meet Alex’s father (played by Jeremy Irons), who should stir up some personal drama, and William Jackson Harper joins as UBA’s new Head of Sports — so expect new turf wars. There’s also a mysterious new power player from Europe (Marion Cotillard), a famous artist (Aaron Pierre), and a slick podcaster (Boyd Holbrook) all circling the media world. And if you’ve ever wondered what’s really going on between Alex and Chip, this might be the season we finally find out.

Who stars in ‘The Morning Show’ Season 4?

“The Morning Show” Season 4 brings back all the usual heavy hitters. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are back, along with Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman, Nicole Beharie, Nestor Carbonell, and Jon Hamm. But there are some new faces too. Marion Cotillard plays a super-connected power player from Europe. Jeremy Irons is Alex’s dad. William Jackson Harper joins as UBA’s new Head of Sports. Boyd Holbrook is a podcaster who’s probably stirring things up. And Aaron Pierre plays an artist who runs in some very elite circles. Bottom line — the cast is stacked, and drama’s coming from every direction.

What happened at the end of ‘The Morning Show’ Season 3?

Spoiler Alert: There are spoilers below for Season 3 of ‘The Morning Show’

Season 3 of “The Morning Show” ends with everything on the verge of falling apart. Cory tries to save UBA by teaming up with tech billionaire Paul Marks, who’s supposed to acquire the company. But it turns out Paul has a secret plan to gut the place for parts, and Alex finds out just in time. She also discovers Paul’s been spying on UBA employees through their phones, which sets off a full-blown whistleblower crisis.

Meanwhile, Bradley’s caught in her own mess. She’s hiding a video of her brother at the Capitol during the January 6th riot, and Paul uses that secret to try and blackmail her. Cory knows, Laura finds out, and Bradley’s job — and reputation — start crumbling. By the end, her future’s totally up in the air, and she might be facing serious consequences if the truth comes out.

Alex makes one final move to take control, pushing for a merger with another media company that actually keeps UBA intact. It works, but now she’s in deeper than ever. Jon Hamm’s Paul is out, but the damage he did is still hanging over everything. With lies, leaks, and legal problems piling up, the whole team is left wondering who they can trust… and what kind of company they’ve become.
