Everything You Need to Know About Utah Jazz Streamer Jazz+

The new streaming platform is available to Jazz fans now, and will include the ability to purchase single-game streams.

The Utah Jazz are ready to shock the rest of the NBA. The team starts its season on Oct. 25 against the Sacramento Kings and is hoping that players like Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler can improve on strong 2022 seasons to help the team make some moves in the playoffs.

But before that happens, the Jazz have to play out their regular season. Fans of the team will be able to watch them on a brand-new home this year: KJZZ. It’s the first season the Jazz won’t be seen on a regional sports network in years, and now the team is partnering with the independent video firm Kiswe to launch an in-market streaming platform to better serve cord-cutting fans.

The streamer is called Jazz+ and is accessible to fans this week. Live games on the service begin Sunday, Oct. 8 when the Jazz tip off their first preseason matchup against the [Los Angeles Clippers].

How Much Does Jazz+ Cost?

Users have two options for subscribing to Jazz+. The best deal is the annual subscription, which costs $125.50 for the entire season, or a bit less than $1.50 per game. Annual subscribers who make their purchase before Oct. 24 will get two tickets to one Jazz home game, as well as a free t-shirt and hat. The monthly plan is $15.50 and does not feature these freebies.

Does Jazz+ Offer Free Trials or Single-Game Passes?

There are no free trials being offered to Jazz+ at this time. The service does offer pay-per-view options for individual games, however; users can stream a single game on Jazz+ for $5.

How Many Games Will Jazz+ Offer?

Jazz+ will carry any Utah Jazz games not being shown on national channels like ESPN and TNT. The service will offer a total of 80+ games this season.

What Other Content Will Be Available on Jazz+?

Live game streams on Jazz+ will include both pre and post-game coverage. On-demand replays will be available to users as soon as live broadcasts have concluded. Users will be able to stream games with English or Spanish-language commentary.

The service will also offer shoulder programming revolving around the Jazz, such as behind-the-scenes footage with the team, their coaching staff, the front office, and ownership. At launch, the platform will house titles like “Shoot the Shot with Coach Hardy,” “Meet the Coaches,” and “Utah Sites and Bites,” to better acquaint users with the team and the city in which they play.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, as Jazz+ will carry special content related to the team’s 50th anniversary, contributions from players themselves, and much more.

Will Jazz+ Carry Alternative Broadcasts?

Streaming platforms often allow teams and leagues to offer specialized alternate streams with enhanced stats, fan-favorite personalities, and more. During select games, including each of the five Decade Nights as part of the Utah Jazz’s 50th anniversary season, Jazz+ will offer alternative broadcast streams featuring live commentary from Jazz alumni and other notable personalities.

Where Can Fans Access Jazz+?

All Utah residents will be eligible to subscribe to Jazz+. The team’s television footprint also includes parts of Wyoming and Idaho that are within 150 miles of Salt Lake City, so these fans will also be able to stream games on Jazz+.

What Devices Can You Use to Stream Jazz+?

For the start of the season, Jazz+ will only be available on computers, smartphones, and tablets. The team says that smart TV compatibility is coming at the end of October, and specified that it would be added to streaming players like Apple TV, Roku and Android TV devices.
