Fubo extends carriage agreement with Newsmax
Fubo extends carriage agreement with Newsmax
The conservative news channel will be available on Fubo for multiple years thanks to the new deal.
Fubo may be best known for its live sports content, but the streamer has balanced itself out with plenty of news and entertainment channels over the years. The amount of news content on the streamer will remain consistent in 2025, as Fubo and [Newsmax][Newsmax TV] have announced an agreement on a new, multi-year distribution deal.
Key Details:
- Available on all plans: The agreement keeps Newsmax available on Fubo’s Pro plan.
- English and Spanish: The Newsmax en Español channel is being added to Fubo’s Spanish-language plan.
- Other news offerings: Fubo also carries Fox News and MSNBC, but not CNN.
The new agreement between Fubo and Newsmax will allow for the continued availability of the channel on the base Fubo plan, its Pro package. This channel lineup costs $85 per month, but that price does not factor in a regional sports fee that customers in nearly all markets across he country have to pay.
“Fubo has carried Newsmax for many years and was one of the first internet-based pay TV distributors to do so,” Newsmax SVP Andy Biggers said. “We have found them to be outstanding partners who consistently demonstrate a firm commitment to diverse, independent voices through their programming lineup. We’re glad that we are continuing this partnership.”
In addition to the English version of the conservative-leaning news channel, Fubo will carry Newsmax en Español in its Spanish-language plan. Newsmax en Español uses AI to dub content in real time, and will be available in the Latino Plus add-on package as well as the Latino base plan.
“Access to live news at any time and on any device, alongside leading sports and entertainment programming, is increasingly important to consumers navigating a non-stop news cycle,” Fubo EVP Todd Mathers said. “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Newsmax to provide their leading news coverage in both English and Spanish to Fubo subscribers.”
Fubo carries a variety of news channels. It offers local broadcast networks in a large selection of markets, and also comes with Fox News and MSNBC. Fubo does not carry CNN, since it does not have a carriage agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery and thus does not offer any of its channels.
