Wonder Project announces launch of new streamer on Prime Video

Wonder Project announces launch of new streamer on Prime Video

The studio behind ‘House of David’ will roll out a new streaming service exclusively for Prime Video customers later this year.

Known for breaking major streaming stories, he’s covered everything from Netflix policy shifts to Peacock’s ad-tier changes. A sci-fi fan and Toshiba Fire TV user, he brings sharp analysis and a love for the genre to his reporting.
The studio Wonder Project is launching a new streaming service on Prime Video.

Faith-based programming from streamers like UP Faith & Family is already widely available on Prime Video, which is also the host of the popular drama series “The Chosen.” But the streamer is continuing to add to this inventory of religious-themed content; Prime Video has announced that it is teaming with the Wonder Project studio to exclusively launch the production house’s new streaming service this fall.

Key Details:

  • Get biblical: Wonder Project is the studio behind “House of David.”
  • The autumn winds: The new streamer from Wonder Project is expected to launch this fall.
  • Another paywall?: It appears viewers who want to see Season 2 of “House of David” will have to subscribe to Prime Video and the new Wonder Project service.

Wonder Project is a studio dedicated to religious-themed programming, and it produces the biblical drama “House of David” for Prime Video, and will offer more than 1,000 hours of movies and TV shows on its new streaming service when it rolls out. The launch of that new streamer has been earmarked for fall 2025, though neither Prime Video nor Wonder Project gave a specific date. A subscription will cost $9 per month and will be available exclusively to Prime Video customers.

“At Wonder Project, we seek to entertain our growing audience with courageous stories that restore faith in things worth believing in,” Wonder Project CEO Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten said. “Great films and TV shows bring families, friends and communities together and drive meaningful connection in a world that is craving connection right now. As a mother, I can’t wait to have this shared viewing experience in my own home — through a brand we can truly call our own.”

The new streaming service will offer a library of original content, such as the second season of “House of David.” Oddly, it appears that customers of Prime Video will now have to subscribe to the new Wonder Project streamer to watch Season 2 of the show, which previously was available solely with a Prime Video account.

“We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Wonder Project subscription on Prime Video,” head of Prime Video Marketplace Ryan Pirozzi said. “This exciting addition to our service reflects our commitment to providing diverse, meaningful content that resonates with our customers. This launch represents another step in our ongoing efforts to ensure Prime Video offers something for everyone, and we look forward to seeing how this new offering enriches the viewing experience for our customers.”

More details about the new Wonder Project streaming service will be available as the fall 2025 launch date nears.
