Step-by-step instructions to move on from your Philo subscription
If you’re all done with Philo for the time being, we’ll give you a helpful guide for canceling the streamer, and tips on what to try next.
For entertainment lovers, Philo is one of the most underrated live TV streamers on the market. It may not carry local broadcast networks or any cable sports channels, but it offers an intriguing lineup of cable channels including AMC, A&E, Comedy Central, Discovery, Hallmark Channel, Lifetime, Nickelodeon, and more, all at a price of only $25 per month. For $8 more, you can add on-demand content from AMC+, HBO Max, and discovery+!
But that lack of sports programming means that Philo might not be the best fit for all viewers all year round. If you are ready to move on from Philo and try something new, we’ll give you detailed instructions on how to cancel and some recommendations for services to try next!

Will canceling lock you out of Philo right away?
No, you will still be able to log in and watch your Philo account until the end of your current billing cycle if you cancel your subscription. Once the current billing cycle ends, however, you will no longer be able to watch any paid channels with Philo. A selection of free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels will still be available to watch through the Philo platform, however — more on those below.
Does canceling Philo wipe out your history and DVR?
If you cancel your subscription, Philo will preserve your profile settings and saved shows. However, any titles saved in your DVR recordings will be erased when you cancel your account.
Can you pause a Philo subscription?
No, Philo doesn’t have a formal “Pause” feature. You’ll have to cancel your account and reactivate it later if you want to take a temporary break from the service.
